Holland scores 16, Pennsylvania beats John Jay 102-57
PHILADELPHIA (AP) Eddie Holland III had 16 points and led five players into double-figure scoring in Pennsylvania's 102-57 victory over Division III-member John Jay in the season opener on Monday night.

Holland also contributed five rebounds for the Quakers (1-0). Tyler Perkins scored 15 points while shooting 5 for 12 (1 for 4 from 3-point range) and 4 of 4 from the free throw line, and added six rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Clark Slajchert shot 5 for 9 (3 for 4 from 3-point range) and 1 of 3 from the free throw line to finish with 14 points.
Jamir Stewart led the way for the Bloodhounds (0-1) with 12 points. Isaac Holmes added 12 points and two blocks for John Jay. In addition, Marquise Paulin had 10 points.
Pennsylvania hosts Bucknell in its next matchup on Wednesday.
