What to Know

Georgia State will be in front of their home fans on Wednesday, but a look at the spread shows they might need that home-court advantage. They and the James Madison Dukes will face off in a Sun Belt battle at 7:00 p.m. ET at GSU Convocation Center.

The point spread may have favored Georgia State last Saturday, but the final result did not. They fell 68-59 to the Bobcats. Georgia State has not had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, James Madison came tearing into Saturday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 80-74.

The Panthers now have a losing record at 13-14. As for the Dukes, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 26-3 record this season.

Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Georgia State hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 76.3 points per game. However, it's not like James Madison struggles in that department as they've been averaging 84.6 points per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.

Georgia State suffered a grim 83-63 defeat to the Dukes when the teams last played two weeks ago. The match was pretty much over by halftime, at which point Georgia State was down 51-26.
