College basketball picks for Kentucky vs. Alabama

Before tuning into the Alabama vs. Kentucky game, you need to see the college basketball picks from SportsLine's advanced computer model. The model simulates every Division I college basketball game 10,000 times. It entered Week 16 of the 2023-24 season on a 136-89 roll on all top-rated college basketball picks dating back to last season, returning nearly $2,500 for $100 players. It is also off to a sizzling 25-13 start on top-rated spread picks this season. Anyone following has seen huge returns.

For Kentucky vs. Alabama, the model projects that the game goes Under 176 total points. Alabama won't be 100% for this matchup. Forward Mohamed Wague, who has started eight games this season, is going to miss this contest due to a one-game, league-imposed suspension. Senior guard Latrell Wrightsell Jr. averages 9.0 points and 3.2 rebounds per game, but he missed Wednesday's game due to a head injury and is questionable for this one.

Kentucky could also be missing an important piece as Tre Mitchell (12 PPG, 7.5 RPG) continues to deal with a shoulder injury.

The model projects that those absences will be enough to keep both of these teams in the 80s. They combine for 169 points, which makes the the Under hit in nearly 70% of simulations. Stream the game here.
