Why UConn can cover

Junior forward Adama Sanogo is a tremendous power player for the Huskies. Sanogo offers such a soft touch around the rim with the strength to overpower defenders. The native of Mali has been an anchor through the first two games in the tournament. He's scored at least 24 points in back-to-back games. In the first-round win over Iona, Sanogo dropped 28 points and 13 rebounds.

Sophomore guard Jordan Hawkins has been another smooth-scoring option. Hawkins owns superb shooting range and is able to catch fire in a hurry. The Maryland native has scored at least 13 points with 3 3-pointers in consecutive games. On Friday against Iona, Hawkins dropped 13 points and went 3-of-7 from downtown.

Why Arkansas can cover

Freshman guard Nick Smith Jr. is a smooth and bouncy scoring option in the backcourt who has a lot of NBA upside. Smith owns a long wingspan that allows him to shoot right over defenders. The Arkansas native averages 12.6 points and 1.8 assists per contest. He has scored 20-plus points in three of his last eight games. On March 4 against Kentucky, Smith logged 25 points, six assists and four steals.

Junior guard Davonte Davis has been another explosive scorer. Davis possesses a quick first step and gets to the rim with ease. The Arkansas native excels in transition, absorbing contact at the rim. He averages 11.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. On Saturday against Kansas, he totaled 25 points and eight boards.
