Arias spent a large portion of the 2023 season on Arizona's practice squad, but he was let go in late December. The wide receiver will now have another shot at carving out a role with the Cardinals in 2024.

Daniel Arias: Released by Arizona
Arias was released from the Cardinals' practice squad on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Arias returned to Arizona's practice squad Nov. 21, but he is once again back out on the open market. The wide receiver has yet to make his NFL debut and he'll now look for his next opportunity to join a team.

Arias signed with Arizona's practice squad Wednesday, Tyler Drake of Arizona Sports reports.
Arias signed with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado back in May. He was cut from Arizona's practice squad in September and proceeded to spend a month on Kansas City's practice squad before being cut Oct. 24. After spending the past week without a team, Arias is back where he started with Arizona.

Kansas City cut Arias from its practice squad Tuesday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
In a corresponding move, the Chiefs signed defensive tackle Mike Pennel to their practice squad. Arias is set to become a free agent and will now have to look for another opportunity elsewhere.

Arias will join the Chiefs practice squad because the team is currently dealing with injuries at the receiver position. It is still unlikely that the 25-year-old will be elevated in the near future, as the team previously signed Montrell Washington to its active roster.

Arias (concussion) joined the Cardinals' practice squad Friday, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
Arias underwent evaluation for a concussion after the Cardinals' preseason game against the Vikings, but it seems as if he's had time to move past the issue. The young wideout was cut by the team Wednesday after making the initial 53-man roster in order to make room for a waiver claim. Arias went undrafted out of Colorado after recording 309 yards on 19 receptions in his final year of college.

After making it through the initial final roster cuts, Arias (concussion) was waived Wednesday in order to make room for a waiver claim, Jose M. Romero of The Arizona Republic reports.
Arias will be a prime candidate to stay in Arizona on its practice squad, as he is the clear No. 6 wideout behind Marquise Brown, Rondale Moore, Greg Dortch, Michael Wilson and Zach Pascal. The undrafted free agent averaged 16.3 yards per reception during his final collegiate season at Colorado in 2022.

Cardinals' Daniel Arias: Undergoing concussion evaluation
Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon said Saturday that Arias is being evaluated for a head injury following the team's 18-17 preseason win over Minnesota, Jose M. Romero of The Arizona Republic reports.
Arias went down with an injury when he was targeted on a deep pass during Arizona's second-to-last play from scrimmage, so it's still unclear whether or not he sustained a concussion. The undrafted rookie has been competing for a roster spot this preseason, so a significant injury could harshly impact his chances of surviving the Cardinals' final roster cuts heading into the 2023 campaign.
