Solano (eye) is starting Friday's game against the Cubs.
Solano was out of the lineup for the last six games due to an eye infection, but he appeared as a pinch hitter Wednesday against the Pirates and was hit by a pitch during his lone plate appearance. He'll start at first base and bat fifth during Friday's series opener against the Cubs.
