Thompson recorded 29 points (10-24 FG, 6-14 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds and one steal in 35 minutes during Tuesday's 125-113 loss to Phoenix.
Thompson scored 14 points in the first quarter on his way to finishing with a team-high total. The return of Stephen Curry (shoulder) from an 11-game absence didn't appear to hamper Thompson on Tuesday, but Thompson's hot run of offensive production is still likely to come to an end sooner or later. Over his last six games, Thompson is averaging 32.8 points on 45.8 percent shooting from the field on 25.8 field-goal attempts per game. Even if that level of efficiency holds, Thompson is still unlikely to maintain that kind of volume; he had averaged 16.7 field-goal attempts per game for the season prior to Curry's absence.
