The Wizards announced that Hachimura won't play Wednesday versus the Nets after he underwent an MRI on Monday revealed he's dealing with a bone bruise in his right ankle.
Hachimura will miss at least a sixth consecutive game because of the injury, which had previously been classified as a sore right ankle. Washington announced that Hachimura's availability beyond Wednesday will be determined by his "clinical evolution," making his timeline for a return fairly open-ended. Anthony Gill should retain a spot in the rotation as the backup to starting power forward Kyle Kuzma while Hachimura is sidelined.
