The Lions re-signed Vildor to a one-year contract Wednesday. Vildor split time with the Titans, Eagles and Lions last season, appearing in seven total regular-season games. He took over as a starting cornerback for Detroit in Week 17 and held the job throughout the Lions' playoff run.... See More ... See Less

Lions' Kindle Vildor: Cleared from injury report
Vildor was absent from the Lions' injury report Tuesday after he left Sunday's loss to the Bears early with cramping. Vildor had to leave his Lions debut early, but he should be able to be a full go Saturday against the Broncos. The four-year pro is also set to take on a potentially larger role in Week 15 and split snaps at corner with Jerry Jacobs, opposite starter Cam Sutton, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.... Bears' Kindle Vildor: Ends season on injured reserve
Vildor ended the season with 34 tackles and an interception over 11 games. Before being placed on injured reserve after Week 12, Vildor (ankle) was playing as Chicago's top slot cornerback. His tackle totals were very inconsistent, and he averaged three per game, which included four games with zero or one tackle. He'll likely compete for a starting role during training camp. He's under contract with the team through the 2023 season.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Kindle Vildor: Heads to IR
The Bears placed Vildor (ankle) on injured reserve Friday, Larry Mayer of the team's official site reports. Vildor was slated to miss a third consecutive game Saturday against the Bills due to an ankle injury, but he'll now be sidelined for the remainder of the 2022 campaign after landing on IR. He'll finish his third NFL season with 34 tackles, five pass defenses and one interception across 11 appearances. Jaylon Johnson (finger/ribs) was also placed on injured reserve Friday, paving the way for Jaylon Jones and Kyler Gordon to garner major roles in Chicago's secondary.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Kindle Vildor: Misses another session
Vildor (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday. For the second consecutive day, Vildor was listed on Chicago's injury report as a non-participant due to the ankle issue that's caused him to miss both of the two contests. If the 25-year-old is eventually unable to gain medical clearance prior to Saturday's matchup against Buffalo, then Jaylon Jones would be in line for additional snaps behind starters Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon.... Bears' Kindle Vildor: Best game of season
Vildor picked off a pass and tallied six tackles in the Bears' 29-22 loss to the Vikings on Sunday. Not only did Vildor post his first interception of the year, but he also produced his highest tackle total of the season. On the year, he has at least four tackles in all but one game, and he's been a fairly consistent IDP option.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Kindle Vildor: Secures roster spot
Vildor earned a spot on the Bears' 53-man roster, according to the team's official site. During training camp, Vildor often played outside cornerback while Kyler Gordon moved into the slot when the Bears put three cornerbacks on the field. It's unlikely that Vildor matches the 781 snaps he had last year unless Gordon or Jaylon Johnson miss time. Otherwise, the likelihood of reduced snaps lowers his value from last year, when he posted 46 tackles, in IDP leagues.... See More ... See Less
