    Johnson (knee) agreed to a one-year, $2.5 million contract with the Texans on Wednesday, Logan Farlow of USA Today reports. Johnson will return to Houston, where he spent the first three seasons of his career before suiting up for the Titans and Saints the last two years. The 28-year-old appeared in 12 games with New Orleans last season, missing time due to a knee injury and seeing more work on special teams than in the secondary. He'll likely be in line for a similar role with the Texans.

Johnson, safety Eric Murray and defensive linemen Roy Lopez and Jordan Jenkins are among the Texans who tested positive Thursday, bringing the organization's total number of players on the reserve/COVID-19 list or practice squad/COVID-19 list up to 22. If vaccinated and asymptomatic of the virus, Johnson will have a chance to come off the list ahead of Sunday's game against the Chargers, but he faces a tight timeline to gain clearance. Johnson is also nursing a quad injury, which rendered him a limited participant at Wednesday's practice.
