Lucas (knee) is on track for Week 1, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports. Lucas is working his way back from knee surgery that he underwent at the end of the 2023 regular season, so it's encouraging that there's no real concern from the Seahawks about his status for Week 1. The expectation will be for him to start at right tackle when healthy.... See More ... See Less

Seahawks' Abraham Lucas: Undergoes knee surgery
General manager John Schneider said Tuesday that Lucas underwent knee surgery following the 2023 season, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. Lucas started 16 games as a rookie in 2022 but battled persistent knee issues last season and was limited to just six appearances. Based on Schneider's comments, Lucas seemingly had more of a cleanup procedure on his knee, and he should be ready well ahead of Week 1 of the 2024 season.... See More ... See Less -
Seahawks' Abraham Lucas: Expected to play Thursday
Lucas (knee) has officially been activated to the Seahawks' active roster ahead of Thursday night's game against the Cowboys, John Boyle of the team's official site reports. Lucas has been on injured reserve since suffering a knee injury during Seattle's Week 1 loss to the Rams, and after a full week of practice, he's expected to start at right tackle Thursday night. Head coach Pete Carroll told reporters that Lucas "practiced really well," and the team is "counting on him to be able to help and contribute," in Week 13's contest. With Lucas likely back at right tackle, expect Jason Peters to now serve as a backup offensive lineman for Seattle.... See More ... See Less -
Seahawks' Abraham Lucas: Unlikely to return Week 11
Lucas (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams but isn't expected to play, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll indicated that Lucas didn't suffer any setbacks after returning to practice this week following a nine-week stint on injured reserve. However, the offensive tackle appears to need more time before he's ready for game action. Assuming he is in fact held out Sunday, Lucas' next chance to suit up will come on Thanksgiving versus San Francisco.... See More ... See Less -
Seahawks' Abraham Lucas: Getting knee surgery
Lucas (knee) is expected to have a procedure done in the coming days, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. Seattle's starting right tackle was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, and head coach Pete Carroll told reporters Friday that knee surgery is in Lucas' near future. The 24-year-old will likely be replaced by Jake Curhan until he is able to take the field again.... See More ... See Less -
Seahawks' Abraham Lucas: Considered day-to-day
Head coach Pete Carroll noted Monday that tests on Lucas' knee haven't shown any damage and he is dealing with soreness to his patella tendon, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports. Lucas left Sunday's game against the Rams when his knee flared up. He'll work this week on managing his injury in hopes of suiting up against the Lions on Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Seahawks' Abraham Lucas: Dealing with knee soreness
Lucas has been diagnosed with a sore knee after exiting Sunday's game against the Rams, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports. Seahawks' Abraham Lucas: Full strength again
Lucas (shoulder) was consistently working with Seattle's first-team offensive line Wednesday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports. Lucas had shoulder surgery in the offseason but has since had time to move past the issue. The second-year tackle was working exclusively with the first-team offensive line at right tackle. The Washington State product started all 16 games he appeared in last season, and now that he's healthy, he'll rejoin Seattle's other second-year tackle, Charles Cross, on the starting line....
