Joseph appears to be back with the team after he missed Miami's 24-17 win over the Patriots in Week 2 due to personal reasons. Joseph (back) participated in Dallas' practice Saturday, the team's official site reports. The cornerback injured his back on June 7 and had to leave that day's session. A second-round pick in 2021, Joseph recorded 20 tackles, two passes defended and a forced fumble last season in 16 games (including one start). The 2021 second-round pick out of Kentucky played mostly on special teams in 2022, but stepped into a larger role late in the season and started opposite of Trevon Diggs. With the Cowboys bringing aboard Stephon Gilmore in a trade with the Colts in March, Joseph will likely move back into a reserve role to open the 2023 campaign.... See More ... See Less -

Cowboys' Kelvin Joseph: Not close to return
Coach Mike McCarthy said that Joseph (groin) is still a few weeks away from returning, Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Joseph was placed on injured reserve prior to the beginning of the regular season, so he is eligible to return whenever he proves healthy. He was a second-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, so he may play a significant role in the secondary upon his return. However, the Cowboys defense has been surprisingly effective against the pass early this season led by the strong play of Trevon Diggs, so it remains to be seen exactly how Joseph will fit in....
