  • Cowboys' Snoop Conner: Latches on with Dallas

The Cowboys signed Conner to a reserve/future contract Wednesday, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports. A fifth-round pick by the Jaguars in 2022, Conner rushed for 12-42-1 across eight games as a rookie but failed to make Jacksonville's 53-man roster out of training camp and spent all of 2023 on the team's practice squad. He's getting a change of scenery with the Cowboys and a chance to impress a new coaching staff.

  • Snoop Conner: Added to Jags' practice squad

Conner was added to Jacksonville's practice squad Wednesday. Conner was joined by 12 other players in a wave of additions to the Jaguars' practice squad, but the 2022 fifth-round draft pick was the only running back among that group. He'll provide organizational depth at a crowded position for the Jaguars, who kept Travis Etienne, Tank Bigsby, JaMycal Hasty and D'Ernest Johnson on the 53-man roster.

  • Snoop Conner: Waived by Jacksonville

The Jaguars waived Conner on Tuesday, Mia O'Brien of 1010 XL 92.5 FM Jacksonville reports. A fifth-round pick in 2022, Conner appeared in eight games as a rookie, totaling 12 rushing attempts for 42 yards and a score. However, the Ole Miss product dropped down the depth chart after the Jaguars added Tank Bigsby and D'Ernest Johnson this offseason. Conner could return to Jacksonville via a practice-squad deal if he goes unclaimed through waivers.

  • Jaguars' Snoop Conner: Scores first touchdown

Conner had five carries for 17 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 31-3 win over the Texans. The rookie fifth-round pick nearly doubled his carries for the season during Sunday's blowout victory, and he also reached the end zone for the first time in his professional career. JaMycal Hasty remains the top backup to starter Travis Etienne, and Conner is unlikely to see much work Week 18 with the Jaguars and Titans facing off for the AFC South crown.

  • Jaguars' Snoop Conner: One rush in win

Conner carried once for three yards during Sunday's 40-34 overtime win against the Cowboys. The rookie fifth-round pick played only three offensive snaps as he was on the field for a quick series in the third quarter. Conner is entrenched as Jacksonville's No. 3 tailback behind Travis Etienne and JaMycal Hasty.

  • Jaguars' Snoop Conner: One carry in loss

Conner rushed once for six yards during Sunday's 40-14 loss at Detroit. Conner played four offensive snaps in the blowout loss and received his fourth carry of the year. The rookie fifth-round pick has rarely seen the field this season, and that's unlikely to change much if workhorse Travis Etienne remains healthy.

  • Jaguars' Snoop Conner: Three touches Sunday

Conner rushed three times for 11 yards during Sunday's 28-27 win against Baltimore. The rookie fifth-round pick saw game action for the second time this season and worked as Jacksonville's No. 2 tailback behind JaMycal Hasty after Travis Etienne (foot) exited with an injury. Even if Etienne is forced to miss some time, Conner is unlikely to see much of an uptick in playing time after the Jaguars claimed Darrell Henderson off waivers last week.

  • Jaguars' Snoop Conner: No touches in Week 8

Conner played one offensive snap during Sunday's 21-17 loss to the Broncos. The 22-year-old was active for the first time this season but saw minimal action in his NFL debut. Travis Etienne is now Jacksonville's workhorse with James Robinson sent to the Jets, leaving JaMycal Hasty to work as a distant No. 2 option. Conner is unlikely to see much playing time while Etienne and Hasty remain in good health.

  • Jaguars' Snoop Conner: Inactive Week 1

Conner (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 1 matchup against the Commanders. The rookie fifth-round pick had some post-draft buzz surrounding him when the progress of James Robinson from last year's Achilles injury was still in question. However, Robinson's clean bill of health well in advance of Sunday's opener leaves him and Travis Etienne as the clear-cut top options in the backfield, while journeyman JaMycal Hasty will open the season as the No. 3 running back against the Commanders.

  • Jaguars' Snoop Conner: Can't get going in preseason finale

Conner rushed 11 times for 15 yards and caught two of three targets for minus-3 yards in Saturday's 28-12 preseason loss to Atlanta. Conner mustered just 12 scrimmage yards on 13 touches, showing that he's not ready to usurp much playing time from Travis Etienne or James Robinson (Achilles) when both are healthy. The Jaguars are expected to keep the rookie fifth-round pick on the roster, but Conner's impact will likely be limited primarily to special teams in his first NFL regular season.

  • Jaguars' Snoop Conner: Stays busy in preseason opener

Conner rushed four times for 10 yards, brought in his only target for six yards and returned one kickoff for 20 yards during the Jaguars' 27-11 preseason loss to the Raiders in Thursday's Hall of Fame Game. With James Robinson (Achilles) and Travis Etienne (illness) not playing Thursday, Conner saw a solid amount of touches and did a serviceable job with the opportunity. The rookie fifth-round pick did find running room at a premium, but efficiency isn't really a concern with a player who averaged an impressive 5.2 yards per carry over 34 games in three college seasons at Ole Miss. Although Etienne is expected to suit up for the Jaguars' Aug. 12 exhibition contest against the Browns, Conner should still see his fair share of touches as that game unfolds.
