The San Francisco Giants visit the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday to kick off a three-game series between middling NL West rivals that are both hungry for a momentum-building performance. First pitch is scheduled for 8:40 p.m. ET from Coors Field. The Giants (29-30) are coming off a six-game homestand in which they won just one game each against the Pittsburgh Pirates and Baltimore Orioles. They enter Tuesday 5.5 games behind the Arizona Diamondbacks in the NL West standings. The Rockies (26-35) return from a 2-6 road trip that included a four-game sweep at the hands of Arizona before winning two of three from the Kansas City Royals. They currently sit 9.5 games out of first place.

The Giants are -140 betting favorites (risk $140 to win $100), while the Rockies are offered at +118 in the latest MLB odds from Caesars Sportsbook MLB odds. The over/under for total runs scored is 11. The game is one of 15 on the MLB schedule for Tuesday. Left-hander Tyler Anderson (2-1, 5.47 ERA) will start for Los Angeles on Tuesday. He is 4-3 with a 3.90 ERA in nine career starts against the Cubs.
