It's not clear what happened to Jimenez, but he was spotted walking back to the White Sox' complex with the trainer after the second inning. Injuries have hampered Jimenez throughout his major-league career to this point.

White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Making start in right Sunday
White Sox manager Pedro Grifol told reporters that Jimenez will start Sunday in right field, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
Jimenez is expected to primarily play as the designated hitter for the White Sox, but Grifol will give the slugger a chance to play in the outfield on occasion. The 26-year-old has gotten some reps in the field this spring even while away from the team, as he was able to play right field for Team Dominican Republic in the World Baseball Classic before they were eliminated.

Jimenez said Wednesday that he dropped 25-30 pounds over the offseason, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.
Jimenez slimmed down in an effort to become more of an everyday outfielder for the White Sox, as he has stated many times that he dislikes filling the designated hitter role. He also noted to reporters Wednesday that his swing has less effort to it now as a result of the leaner physical build. The 26-year-old slugger sure seems primed for a healthier and more productive overall showing in 2023.

White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Won't start Wednesday
Interim manager Miguel Cairo said Jimenez won't be in the lineup for Wednesday's season finale against Minnesota, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.
The 25-year-old went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, an RBI and a run during Wednesday's 8-3 victory, which will end up being his final start of the season. Barring an appearance off the bench, Jimenez will finish 2022 with a .295/.358/.500 slash line, 16 home runs, 54 RBI and 40 runs in 84 games.
