Cimber gave up a hit and a walk in a scoreless ninth inning during Tuesday's rout of the Rays.
It wouldn't have been possible to find a lower-leverage spot for Cimber in his return from the injured list -- the Jays were up 20-1 when he took the mound -- but the appearance was still a success as he tossed nine of 14 pitches for strikes, and the one hit he allowed came when Christian Bethancourt fought off a fastball above the strike zone and slapped it the other way for a single. Cimber looked good early in the season before being shut down due to back issues, and if he stays healthy the sidearming right-hander should be a key part of the middle-inning bridge to closer Jordan Romano.

Cimber (10-5) earned the win in Wednesday's 3-2 extra-inning victory over the Red Sox. He allowed one hit in a scoreless inning without recording a strikeout.
Cimber had little trouble in the ninth inning, retiring the Red Sox on just eight pitches to send the game to extras. The Blue Jays would end up winning after George Springer hit a double to score Jackie Bradley in the 10th. Cimber was once again called on to finish Tuesday's win and he retired the Mariners in order for a 1-2-3 ninth inning and his second save in as many days. Jordan Romano (illness) is expected to return soon, but in the meantime, the 31-year-old Cimber has been holding down the final frame and is up to three saves on the year. He has now pitched 3.2 no-hit innings over his last four appearances, surrendering two walks while striking out three. Cimber's 2.20 ERA and 0.81 WHIP over 15.1 innings this season both represent career bests for the right-hander.

Cimber (4-2) took the loss Sunday against the Guardians, recording only one out while giving up a run on two hits and a walk.
Entering a 3-3 tie with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning, Cimber couldn't find that third out, issuing a free pass to Andres Gimenez in between sharp singles from Franmil Reyes and Oscar Mercado. The sidearmer hadn't pitched since Tuesday, but he might still be feeling the effects of a fairly heavy early-season workload that has included a lot of high-leverage spots. Cimber sports a 2.84 ERA and 0.87 WHIP with a save and five holds over 13 appearances and 12.2 innings.
Cimber (4-0) picked up the win but blew the save in Monday's victory over the Red Sox, giving up one hit without allowing a run in the eighth inning.
While the sidearmer's own line in the box score was clean, he did allow two inherited runners to score, costing Jose Berrios the win as Cimber left the mound with the score tied 2-2. Bo Bichette's grand slam in the bottom of the frame then gave the right-hander another vultured win.
