  • Dodgers' Dinelson Lamet: Outrighted to Triple-A

The Dodgers outrighted Lamet to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday after he cleared waivers. Lamet was removed from the 40-man roster after making three appearances for the Dodgers, but he will remain in the organization. The righty will presumably be used in relief at OKC.

  • Dodgers' Dinelson Lamet: Cast off 40-man roster

The Dodgers designated Lamet for assignment Saturday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. Lamet earned the first save of his career Wednesday against the Giants, but he will now be jettisoned off the Dodgers' 40-man roster. His spot will be given to Gus Varland, who was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move.

  • Dodgers' Dinelson Lamet: Collects first career save

Lamet picked up a save against San Francisco on Wednesday, striking out two batters in a perfect inning of work. Usual closer Evan Phillips was unavailable after pitching three times over the previous four days, but it still seemed surprising for Dodgers manager Dave Roberts to call upon Lamet to close the contest given that he had never saved a game in 119 previous MLB appearances. The move paid off, however, as the right-hander mowed down the side on just 11 pitches, with two of his outs coming via strikeout. Phillips has a secure hold on the closer role for Los Angeles, so Lamet is unlikely to get many more save opportunities, though he does have closer-like stuff and could be a candidate to shut things down on occasion when Phillips is unavailable.

  • Dodgers' Dinelson Lamet: Added to roster

The Dodgers selected Lamet's contract from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports. Lamet will provide the Dodgers' bullpen with a fresh arm. He had not yet pitched with Oklahoma City but had a nice spring training, striking out five while two runs (one earned) over 3.2 frames. Nabil Crismatt was designated for assignment to make room for Lamet.

  • Dodgers' Dinelson Lamet: Promotion on tap

The Dodgers are expected to call up Lamet from Triple-A Oklahoma City prior to Monday's game against the Giant, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports. Lamet doesn't currently have a spot on the 40-man roster, so the Dodgers will likely need to make a corresponding transaction to facilitate his move to the big club. The right-hander was unable to win a spot in the Dodgers' Opening Day bullpen, but he impressed in the Cactus League with five strikeouts over 3.2 innings while allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits and one walk.

  • Dodgers' Dinelson Lamet: Set to pitch Sunday

Lamet (visa issues) is scheduled to pitch in Sunday's Cactus League game against the Rockies, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports. Lamet was a late arrival to spring training due to visa issues, but he's now in camp and will make his Cactus League debut Sunday. The 31-year-old had an 11.71 ERA in 17 appearances (four starts) between the Red Sox and Rockies last season, and he'll need an impressive showing during spring training to have a chance of making the Dodgers' roster.

  • Dodgers' Dinelson Lamet: Dealing with visa issue

Lamet has yet to report to Dodgers camp because of a visa issue, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. Pitchers and catchers reported last week for the Dodgers since they begin their season early. While Lamet still has time to get up to speed, a late start won't help his chances at winning a job as a non-roster invitee. The right-hander held an 11.71 ERA across 27.2 innings with the Rockies and Red Sox last season.

  • Dodgers' Dinelson Lamet: Invited to Dodgers' camp

Lamet signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers on Saturday and received an invitation to major-league spring training, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports. Lamet accumulated an awful 11.71 ERA and 2.35 WHIP across 27.2 innings in the majors last season. However, his numbers improved dramatically in the minors with a 2.70 ERA and 1.00 WHIP between the Rockies' and Red Sox's Triple-A affiliates. Lamet will certainly have to show more success before getting another shot in the majors, but the Dodgers organization has developed a reputation for reviving pitchers' careers.

  • Red Sox's Dinelson Lamet: Jettisoned from 40-man roster

Lamet was designated for assignment Wednesday, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports. Lamet's stint with the Red Sox lasted just one day, as he allowed three runs over two innings in Tuesday's loss to the Royals. He'll go through the waiver process and can elect free agency if he clears.

  • Red Sox's Dinelson Lamet: Summoned to majors

Lamet's contract was selected from Triple-A Worcester on Monday. He signed a minor-league contract with the Red Sox on June 28 and has logged a 3.72 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 16 strikeouts in 19.1 innings over his last five appearances. Lamet went five innings deep in his two most recent games, so he will be capable of logging multiple innings per appearance, presumably out of the bullpen.

  • Red Sox's Dinelson Lamet: Inks minors deal with Boston

Lamet signed a minor-league contract Tuesday with the Red Sox. Lamet was cut loose by the Rockies last week after struggling to an 11.57 ERA in four starts and 12 relief appearances covering 25.2 innings. The 30-year-old former Padres prospect still has intriguing raw stuff, but it's been a while now since he enjoyed sustained success at the major-league level. He'll report to the Triple-A affiliate of the Red Sox in Worcester.

  • Dinelson Lamet: Released by Colorado

Lamet was released by the Rockies on Thursday. The 30-year-old righty showed significant promise in 2020 with the Padres after flashing upside in 2019, but he has been trending down each year since then, in part due to injuries. Lamet had an 11.57 ERA in 25.2 innings with the Rockies and had an ERA over 10.00 as both a starter and a reliever. It's possible he will catch on elsewhere, but it is unlikely to be in a fantasy-relevant role.

  • Rockies' Dinelson Lamet: DFA'd by Colorado

The Rockies designated Lamet for assignment Saturday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports. After surrendering eight runs over the course of four innings Friday against Atlanta, Lamet's ERA soared to 11.57 on the season, and he has now lost his spot on the team. His impressive Triple-A stat line (0.84 ERA, 0.69 WHIP) will help his chances of getting claimed by another team. There's no word on who might replace Lamet in the Rockies' rotation, but reliever Gavin Hollowell was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move.

  • Rockies' Dinelson Lamet: Crushed by Atlanta

Lamet (1-4) took the loss Friday as the Rockies were routed 8-1 by Atlanta, surrendering eight runs on five hits -- including three home runs -- and five walks over four innings. He struck out five. The right-hander had neither control nor command, throwing 46 of 89 pitches for strikes and catching far too much of the plate when he did find the strike zone, and Atlanta pushed multiple runs across the plate in three of Lamet's four frames. The 30-year-old has a 10.80 ERA and 18:10 K:BB through 15 innings over four starts since moving into Colorado's rotation, and it's fair to wonder how much longer the team will stick with him before shifting him back to the bullpen. If he does get another start, Lamet's next turn would project for a road series next week in Cincinnati.

  • Rockies' Dinelson Lamet: Decent against former team

Lamet allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits and three walks while striking out five over five innings in a no-decision versus the Padres on Sunday. This was Lamet's first start against the Padres, though he previously faced them in relief appearances twice early in the season. He held his own Sunday, and the Rockies ultimately won 5-4 with a walk-off home run by Nolan Jones after a rain delay. Lamet has now allowed 11 runs (10 earned) over 11 innings across three starts. He's at a 10.38 ERA, 2.31 WHIP and 26:17 K:BB through 21.2 innings, but Sunday's outing appeared to be a step in the right direction. He's tentatively lined up to make his next start on the road in Atlanta.

  • Rockies' Dinelson Lamet: Comes off IL to start Wednesday

Colorado reinstated Lamet (back) off the 15-day injured list to start against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday. Lamet ended up missing close to a month after being placed on the 15-day injured list May 4 with stiffness in his lower back. The right-hander was operating out of the bullpen at the time, but he was stretched out during his minor-league rehab assignment and will now get a chance to give the Rockies' rotation an added boost. Lamet showed flashes of brilliance as a starter when he was a member of the Padres, but he's struggled to be able to stick on the mound with a litany of injuries from 2017 through 2021. He's an intriguing speculative add, and one that makes more sense to have in a fantasy lineup when he's not pitching in the unfriendly confines of Coors Field. One of those opportunities for Lamet comes Wednesday in his outing against Arizona.

  • Rockies' Dinelson Lamet: Likely to return, start Wednesday

The Rockies are expected to reinstate Lamet (back) from the 15-day injured list Wednesday and have him start that night in Arizona, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports. After making the third start of his rehab assignment with Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday, Lamet returned to Colorado on Sunday and was spotted throwing on the field. The right-hander stretched out to 63 pitches in his final start with Albuquerque and looks poised to provide aid to a Colorado rotation that has been plagued by injury and poor performance throughout the season. Though Lamet has largely operated as a reliever in the majors for the past two and a half seasons, he delivered a 3.78 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 21.4 K-BB% across 56 starts with San Diego from 2017 through 2021. The 30-year-old right-hander could make for an interesting speculative pickup in deeper leagues, especially after he dazzled over his three-start rehab assignment (0.84 ERA, 0.66 WHIP and 11:1 K:BB in 10.2 innings).

  • Rockies' Dinelson Lamet: Looking sharp on rehab assignment

Lamet (back) struck out six over 4.2 scoreless innings in his rehab start with Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday. He gave up just two hits and one walk. Making the third start of his rehab assignment with Albuquerque, Lamet delivered an impressive follow-up effort after he tossed four perfect innings his last time out May 20. Just as he did in his prior two starts, Lamet did well to pound the zone, permitting just one free pass on the night while spotting 42 of his 63 pitches for strikes. The Rockies haven't decided whether Lamet will need one more rehab start to build his pitch count or if he'll be ready to return from the 15-day injured list for his next outing, but the right-hander at least looks like he'll get an extended trial in the big-league rotation. Since the second half of the 2021 season, Lamet has worked exclusively as a reliever in the big leagues, but he turned in a 3.78 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 21.4 K-BB% across 56 starts with San Diego from 2017 through 2021.

  • Rockies' Dinelson Lamet: Another rehab start Friday

Manager Bud Black said Thursday that Lamet (back) will make another rehab start Friday with Triple-A Albuquerque, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports. Lamet is being stretched out for a possible rotation role with the Rockies as he nears the end of his recovery from a back injury. He's looked sharp in his two rehab starts so far with Albuquerque, tallying five strikeouts with no walks over six innings of one-run ball.

  • Rockies' Dinelson Lamet: Being considered for rotation

Lamet (back) could be used as a starter when he returns from the injured list, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports. Lamet hasn't started a major-league game since 2021 and hasn't been a full-time starter since 2020. He seems ill-suited for the role at this point, but the Rockies' rotation has been hit hard by injuries so it appears they might be willing to give it a shot. Lamet has made two rehab starts with Triple-A Albuquerque but figures to require multiple more to get stretched out if Colorado does indeed bring him back as a starter.
