    Bello (3-1) picked up the win Friday, scattering one hit and two walks over six scoreless innings in an 8-1 rout of the Pirates. He struck out seven.

    Bryan Reynolds made it to third base in the first inning after a walk and an error by Ceddanne Rafaela, but he was the only Pittsburgh runner to get past second against Bello. The right-hander retired the final 11 batters he faced in a dominant outing as he recorded his first quality start of 2024. He'll take a 3.04 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 26:7 K:BB through 26.2 innings into his next start, which lines up to come in Cleveland next week.

    Bello (2-1) picked up the win Sunday, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks over 5.1 innings against the Angels. He struck out eight.

    Bello nearly doubled his season strikeout total Sunday, punching out eight batters after entering the game with 11 total strikeouts through his first three starts. While he surrendered a solo home run to Brandon Drury in the second inning, Bello finished with two earned runs or less for the third time in 2024. The 25-year-old righty is tentatively slated to pitch Friday against the Pirates.

    Bello (1-1) took the loss versus the Orioles on Tuesday, allowing three runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out three.

    Bello was solid for the most part Tuesday. However, Jarren Duran would misplay a fly ball with two outs in the fourth inning before Colton Cowser ripped a two-run double, tagging Bello with a pair of unearned runs that proved to be enough to stick him with the loss. It's been an up-and-down start to the year for Bello -- he now sports a 4.11 ERA with a 1.11 WHIP and 11:3 K:BB through his first three outings (15.1 innings). Bello's currently lined up for a home matchup with the Angels on Sunday.
