The Giants outrighted Bermudez to Triple-A Sacramento on Thursday.
San Francisco claimed Bermudez off waivers from the Astros on Aug. 23, only for the Giants to remove him from the 40-man roster just over a week later. He had yet to pitch at any level for the Giants and recorded an 8.55 ERA and 1.80 WHIP over 67.1 innings at Triple-A Sugar Land in Houston's organization prior to being claimed. Bermudez (hip) returned to action for Triple-A Sugar Land on July 22 and has given up eight runs on six hits and three walks while striking out nine over 5.2 innings in his two appearances.
