Orioles' Connor Norby: Back in action
Norby has gone 5-for-24 across five games since returning from a lower leg injury.
Norby was hurt June 24, but he was back in the lineup four days later. The infield prospect has done fairly well with Triple-A Norfolk this season, slashing .277/.329/.439 with nine home runs, 46 RBI, 57 runs scored and four stolen bases through 75 contests. The 23-year-old likely still needs more time with Norfolk before being in contention for a call-up, especially given the Orioles' already-crowded infield.

Orioles' Connor Norby: Removed with shin injury
Norby was removed from Saturday's game for Triple-A Norfolk after fouling a ball off his left shin, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Norby is considered day-to-day after being removed due to the injury. The 2021 second-round pick has enjoyed a solid season in Norfolk with a slash of .284/.335/.446 along with eight homers over 289 at-bats coming into Saturday's contest. He has an outside chance of making his major-league debut for Baltimore in 2023.

Norby is hitting .289 with two home runs and one steal in 18 games with Triple-A Norfolk.
The 22-year-old second baseman's 0.2 BB/K is easily his worst mark since rookie ball in 2021, and his 25.9 percent hard-hit rate is mediocre for a player his age at Triple-A. His swing-decision metrics suggest he is forcing the issue too much, rather than waiting for pitches he can drive. Compared to Triple-A teammates Joey Ortiz (117 wRC+) and Jordan Westburg (114 wRC+), Norby (85 wRC+) is probably the least likely of Baltimore's high-profile infield prospects to get an emergency promotion in the coming weeks.

Orioles' Connor Norby: Reassigned to minor-league camp
The Orioles reassigned Norby to minor-league camp Tuesday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Norby received a brief taste of Triple-A ball last season and made the most of it, slashing .359/.405/.718 through 42 plate appearances. As impressive as his minor-league numbers have been, he will still start the year in Triple-A Norfolk. However, the 22-year-old infielder could very well make his major-league debut at some point during the season if he continues to produce.

Orioles' Connor Norby: Elevated to Triple-A
The Orioles promoted Norby from Double-A Bowie to Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday.
With Bowie's campaign coming to a close over the past weekend, Norby will get a look with the Orioles' top affiliate for the final week of the International League regular season. During his time at Bowie, the 22-year-old infielder hit .298 while walking at a 11.9 percent clip and chipping in 17 home runs and 10 stolen bases over 296 plate appearances.

Norby (hand) rejoined Double-A Bowie's lineup Wednesday and has gone 6-for-16 with a double, two stolen bases, a walk, three runs and one RBI while starting in each of the past four games.
Norby was sidelined for only a few days after he injured his hand last Sunday. Since receiving a promotion to Double-A in late June, Norby is slashing .298/.374/.566 with 15 home runs and 10 steals in 262 plate appearances for Bowie.

Norby has a .261/.359/.497 slash line with nine home runs, four steals and a 20:38 BB:K through 39 games since his promotion to Double-A Bowie.
He's actually hit significantly better in Double-A than he did at High-A earlier this season, as Norby's OPS with Bowie is 120 points higher than it was with Aberdeen. All told, the 22-year-old has put together 17 homers and 10 steals this season, which is worth a little fantasy attention even if he's not exactly heavy on tools.
