Wilson Garcia: Released by Nats
The Nationals released Garcia on Thursday.
Garcia was promoted to Triple-A ball for the first time to begin 2023 and saw a drop in production at the highest level of the minors. The 29-year-old first baseman slashed .256/.273/.419 with 15 RBI through 88 plate appearances and will now look to latch on with another team as organizational depth.

Indians' Wilson Garcia: Healthy again
Garcia (foot) is listed as an available bench option in Thursday's Cactus League game against the Dodgers, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
Garcia received an invitation to the Tribe's big-league camp this spring after slashing .268/.310/.475 with 10 home runs in 275 plate appearances at Double-A Akron in 2019 before being shut down for the season in June with a sprained right foot. The 26-year-old has already appeared in two Cactus League games and could see a plate appearance or two Thursday.

Indians' Wilson Garcia: Out with foot sprain
Garcia was placed on the minor-league injured list Friday with a right foot sprain.
It's unclear how Garcia sustained the injury but he'll be on the shelf at least a week due to the issue. The 25-year-old is slashing .268/.310/.475 with 10 homers in 69 games for Double-A Akron this season.
