  • Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Goes deep Monday

Peraza went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional RBI and a walk Monday in a 6-4 victory versus the Diamondbacks.

Peraza came through with a big blast in the seventh inning, tying the score 3-3 with a 443-foot shot to left-center field. Arizona retook the lead in the following frame, but New York tied the game in the bottom of the eighth when Peraza walked with the bases loaded. Peraza will get a day of rest after making seven straight starts at third base while going 6-for-27 (.222) with a homer and a double. Isiah Kiner-Falefa is manning the hot corner for the Yankees in Thursday's series finale versus Toronto.

  • Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Hits first homer of season

Peraza went 4-for-9 with a double, a home run, two runs and two RBI across both games of a doubleheader against the Red Sox on Thursday.

Peraza notched two of New York's six hits in the matinee, though neither helped the team avoid a shutout. The infielder made more noise in the nightcap, coming home after a second-inning double and adding a two-run homer in the ninth that gave the Yankees some much-needed cushion. Peraza is in the midst of a modest seven-game hitting streak, during which he is slashing .379/.379/.586 with four extra-base hits, three runs and four RBI.

  • Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Could play during doubleheader

Peraza (knee) could be available to play at some point during Tuesday's doubleheader versus the Red Sox, Greg Joyce of the New York Post reports.

Peraza is not starting the first game of the double dip, which is the second straight contest he's been absent from the lineup. The swelling in his left knee has gone down, though, and while it doesn't sound like he'll start the nightcap, he should be available off the bench. Isiah Kiner-Falefa is handling third base in the first game.

  • Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Active for Game 2

Peraza (knee) will start at shortstop and bat seventh during Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Red Sox.

Peraza has been dealing with swelling in his left knee, but he seems to be feeling well enough to return to the lineup after sitting the first game of Tuesday's action. The 23-year-old has had a quiet season in the majors overall, but he's gone 10-for-31 with four RBI since the start of September.

Peraza (knee) remains out of the lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader versus the Red Sox, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.

Peraza is being considered day-to-day due to swelling in his left knee, Meredith Marakovits of YES Network reports.

Peraza underwent an MRI on Sunday that came back clean, but he'll still be monitored closely moving forward. The team should know more about his availability for Tuesday's doubleheader after evaluating him in the morning.

  • Yankees' Oswald Peraza: On bench again Monday

Peraza is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox.

Peraza has played regularly since rejoining the Yankees in late August, but he will be held out for a second day in a row with manager Aaron Boone turning to his left-handed hitters against Boston righty Kutter Crawford.

  • Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Takes seat Sunday

Peraza is out of the lineup Sunday against the Brewers.

Isiah Kiner-Falefa will start at third base and bat sixth. Peraza has enjoyed a fairly productive week, but the 23-year-old carries a brutal .188/.278/.232 overall slash line in 126 major-league plate appearances this season.

  • Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Tallies three hits in win

Peraza went 3-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI in a 4-3 victory versus the Tigers on Wednesday.

Peraza's double in the third inning plated the Yankees' third run and marked the third time in his past four games that he has driven in a run. The 23-year-old has a pair of three-hit performances over that four-game span, during which he's gone 7-for-15 with three doubles and three RBI. Even with the hot stretch, Peraza is still slashing a meager .180/.281/.220 over 114 plate appearances on the campaign.

  • Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Three hits in win

Peraza went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Astros.

Getting another start at second base in place of Gleyber Torres (back) and batting eighth, Peraza was the only Yankee to collect multiple hits on the night -- a surprising turn of events considering that prior to Saturday's eruption, the 23-year-old had gone just 2-for-33 (.061) in 10 games since his late August promotion. Peraza isn't one of the bigger names among the Baby Bombers currently filling the New York lineup, but after posting a .268/.357/.479 slash line in 300 plate appearances at Triple-A this season with 14 homers and 16 steals, he could still be part of the franchise's future, especially if Torres gets shifted off the keystone next season.

Peraza is out of the lineup for Thursday's contest in Detroit, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

Peraza has taken over as the Yankees' regular third baseman since being promoted from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre last week, but he'll begin the series finale in Detroit on the bench. Oswaldo Cabrera will occupy the hot corner as the Yankees go for the series sweep.

  • Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Heads to bench Monday

Peraza is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Tigers.

For the first time since being called up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre last Tuesday, Peraza will take a seat. He had started at either third base or shortstop in each of the past six games, going 2-for-20 with one walk against eight strikeouts. Oswaldo Cabrera will get the starting nod at the hot corner in Peraza's stead Monday, but both players could see ample opportunities on the left side of the infield down the stretch while the non-contending Yankees shift their focus to evaluating some of their younger players.

  • Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Brought up from Triple-A

Peraza was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday.

Peraza has done very little during his limited chances in the majors this season but has produced an .836 OPS with 14 home runs and 16 stolen bases in 2023 at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The Yankees are expected to play him a lot down the stretch, with Peraza perhaps in line to receive the bulk of the starts at third base while also filling in at second and shortstop on occasion.

  • Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Expected to rejoin big club

The Yankees are expected to recall Peraza from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre prior to Tuesday's game against the Nationals, Jack Curry of YES Network reports.

Peraza hit .308 and posted a .819 OPS over his last nine games with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, and his recent production in the minors looks as though it'll earn him another trip to the big leagues. The Yankees are likely to give their young players plenty of playing time down the stretch, with Peraza likely to get most of his starts at third base.
