Blue Jays' Mason McCoy: Contract selected by Toronto
The Blue Jays selected McCoy's contract from Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday. McCoy has a .572 OPS in 21 games since joining Buffalo but fared better with the Mariners' Triple-A affiliate with a .737 OPS. Mariners' Mason McCoy: Chance to make Opening Day roster
McCoy has a chance to make the Opening Day roster for the Mariners, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports. He has impressed during spring training with his defense, and the fact that the Mariners will open the season without Dylan Moore (oblique) certainly helps McCoy's chances of making the roster. The 27-year-old is capable of playing all over the infield, and would likely be the backup to J.P. Crawford at short, Eugenio Suarez at third and Kolten Wong at second.... See More ... See Less

Andrew Stoeten@AndrewStoeten4D agoAssuming the Blue Jays close this one out they’ll need one result from five remaining games (three Mariners, two of their own) and they’re in. Hard not to feel pretty alright about that.
