Guardians' Will Brennan: Pushing for roster spot
Brennan is 4-for-14 with three doubles, RBI and three runs scored over six Cactus League games.
Brennan doesn't have a clear path to an everyday role, but his solid hitting is earning him a long look in the spring. The 25-year-old outfielder hit .357 with eight RBI, a home run and two stolen bases in just 45 plate appearances last season. If he can maintain solid hitting and provide quality defense around the outfield, he could push for the ultra-light-hitting Myles Straw's spot in center field.

Guardians' Will Brennan: Swats three-run homer
Brennan went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run, a triple and two total runs scored in Sunday's 7-5 win over the Royals.
Brennan led off the bottom of the first inning with a triple and scored on Amed Rosario's sacrifice fly. In the second, Brennan added a three-run blast, though that would be it for his production in the contest. The rookie outfielder hadn't recorded an extra-base hit in his first eight games, but he hit safely in seven of them. He's now batting .344 with one homer, one triple, two stolen bases, seven RBI and five runs scored across 35 plate appearances. It appears he'll have at least a part-time role heading into the postseason, potentially as a strong-side platoon player in right field.

Guardians' Will Brennan: Two steals Friday
Brennan went 1-for-3 with a hit-by-pitch, two stolen bases and two RBI in Friday's 6-3 win over the Rangers.
Brennan has opened his major-league career 4-for-11 with three RBI, though he's yet to record an extra-base hit. It's encouraging to see his speed show up in the majors -- he logged a career-high 20 stolen bases in 129 games between Triple-A Columbus and Double-A Akron this year, and he's never had fewer than 10 thefts in a calendar year. Brennan has seen time in both corner outfield spots since his call-up.

Brennan recorded his first major-league hit in the form of an RBI single off righty Lance Lynn to give Cleveland a 4-0 lead in the third inning. Guardians' Will Brennan: Making major-league debut Wednesday
Brennan's contract was selected from Triple-A Columbus on Wednesday.
Brennan began the 2022 campaign at Double-A Akron but was promoted to the Triple-A club in late May. He was dominant following his promotion, slashing .317/.369/.474 with nine home runs, 68 RBI, 53 runs and 15 stolen bases over 92 games at Columbus. The 24-year-old is starting in right field and batting seventh Wednesday against the White Sox and should have ample opportunities to carve out playing time for the Guardians down the stretch.

Guardians' Will Brennan: Slashing in Triple-A
Brennan has hit .343/.404/.485 with five home runs and 13 steals across 58 games since his promotion to Triple-A Columbus.
As good as he was in Double-A, Brennan's been even better at the higher level. He's flashed an outstanding hit tool, posting an outstanding 12.2 percent strikeout rate along with a 9.8 percent walk rate. While he's more of a gap-to-gap hitter than a power bat -- he's smashed 29 doubles this year against just nine homers -- Brennan offers a well-rounded package reminiscent in a way of Dexter Fowler's younger years. He's an older prospect at 24, as it took Brennan until this year to start getting to a bit more pop. He's also one of many young outfield options in the Cleveland organization, with the likes of Oscar Gonzalez, Nolan Jones, Steven Kwan and Will Benson all standing in between Brennan and an eventual major-league job.

The 24-year-old will be rewarded with a promotion to the Triple-A level, and it's possible he'll be considered to make his major-league debut late in 2022 or sometime in 2023 if he maintains his momentum in Columbus.

Guardians' Will Brennan: Hitting well at Double-A
Brennan is slashing .326/.404/.488 through 24 games with Double-A Akron this season.
Brennan split time between Akron and High-A Lake County last year, collected six home runs, 50 RBI, 70 runs scored and 14 stolen bases in 102 contests. The eighth-round pick from 2019 has hit the ball even better in 2022, picking up 26 RBI, 11 runs scored, two homers and three steals. If he can keep this up, a move to Triple-A Columbus could be in the cards sometime this summer.
