Guardians' Chase DeLauter: Promoted to Double-A
DeLauter has been promoted from High-A Lake County to Double-A Akron, Guardians Prospective reports.
The No. 16 overall pick in the 2022 Draft, DeLauter recovered from an ankle injury to hit a blistering .366/.403/.549 for Lake County over 42 games. Akron has just one series remaining this season, but the Guardians wanted to give the top prospect a quick look at a higher level before the schedule runs out.

Guardians' Chase DeLauter: Returns to action for Lake County
DeLauter (ankle) started in right field and went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI in his return to the lineup for High-A Lake County in Friday's 5-4 win over Beloit.
DeLauter was sidelined for about a week and a half with a left ankle sprain but was never placed on the 7-day injured list. The 21-year-old opened the season on Lake County's 60-day IL, but he's produced an outstanding 1.201 OPS in 12 games for the affiliate since he was activated June 29 after completing a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League.

Guardians' Chase DeLauter: Nursing ankle sprain
DeLauter has not played for High-A Lake County since July 18 due to a left ankle sprain, Justin Lebron of ProspectsLive.com reports.
He had just returned to action after missing time with a fractured left foot, so it's a little troubling that he has another injury in that same area, especially since DeLauter has a large 6-foot-4, 235-pound frame and plays a physical brand of baseball. That said, he has not been placed on the injured list and has been extremely productive when healthy, slashing .406/.481/.667 with two home runs and five steals in 20 games including nine rehab games in the Arizona Complex League.

Guardians' Chase DeLauter: Active in rookie ball
DeLauter (foot) went 0-for-2 with a walk and a strikeout in his Arizona Complex League debut Monday.
DeLauter underwent surgery in January to address a fracture in his left foot, his second such injury in less than a year. The outfield prospect will get some time in rookie ball, and if he performs well, he shouldn't be there for long before joining Single-A Lynchburg.

Guardians' Chase DeLauter: Out long term with fractured foot
DeLauter is expected to be sidelined for 4-to-5 months after undergoing surgery Jan. 10 to address a fracture to the fifth toe of his left foot, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
DeLauter broke the same foot last spring, with the injury preventing him from making his professional debut after the Guardians selected him last June with the No. 16 overall pick of the 2022 First-Year Player Draft. While the fact that the 21-year-old has now required two procedures on the foot over the past two years isn't the most encouraging sign for his long-term outlook, he should still be on track to join the Guardians' rookie-level Arizona Complex League club by July, provided he experiences no setbacks in his rehab over the next few months.
