Jacques retired all three batters faced to earn the save in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Blue Jays. With Kenley Jansen unavailable, per Greg Dudek of NESN, manager Alex Cora called on Jacques, who shut down the Blue Jays in order on 10 pitches for his first career save. Nick Piecoro@nickpiecoro2D agoThe Diamondbacks are listed as TBA for Tuesday vs. the Cardinals. The two primary candidates appear to be lefties Logan Allen and Tommy Henry, but Allen could be needed in relief the next couple of days. Henry could return if Merrill Kelly lands on the injured list.

Blaze Alexander figures to get much of the playing time, though the club also is expected to select the contract of Kevin Newman from Triple-A Reno.
