Nationals' Jake Noll: Out with fractured finger
Noll was placed on Triple-A Rochester's 60-day injured list Tuesday with a fractured finger, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.
The 28-year-old suffered the injury over the weekend when he was hit by a pitch, and the move to the 60-day IL will end his 2022 campaign. Noll has been unable to get back to the majors since making his debut with seven games in 2020, and he'll finish the Triple-A season with a .256/.307/.415 slash line, 10 home runs and 53 RBI in 103 contests.... Nationals' Jake Noll: Sent to MiLB camp
The Nationals reassigned Noll to minor-league camp Monday, Matt Weyrich of NBC Sports Washington reports.
Noll received 30 plate appearances at the big-league level with the Nationals between the 2019 and 2020 seasons, but he played exclusively at Triple-A Rochester in 2021. Even after posting a solid .840 OPS for Rochester last season, the 28-year-old expected to spent the majority of the upcoming campaign with the affiliate.... See More ... See Less
Nationals' Jake Noll: Sticks in organization
The Nationals outrighted Noll to their alternate training site Monday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
Noll remains in the organization after none of the league's other 29 teams put in a waiver claim for him when he was designated for assignment over the weekend. He'll stick around at the alternate site in Fredericksburg for the next month before likely reporting to Rochester when the Triple-A season begins in May.... See More ... See Less
Nationals' Jake Noll: Designated for assignment
Noll was designated for assignment by the Nationals on Saturday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
Noll was optioned to Triple-A Rochester on March 14, and he'll now be removed from the 40-man roster ahead of the regular season. The 27-year-old went hitless with two walks and five strikeouts across 14 plate appearances this spring and should still begin the year at Triple-A Rochester if he isn't claimed off waivers.... Nationals' Jake Noll: Optioned to Triple-A
Noll was optioned to Triple-A Rochester on Sunday, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.
The 27-year-old was 0-for-8 with two walks and four strikeouts through eight spring games and was unable to earn a spot on the Opening Day roster. Noll appeared in seven games for the Nationals last season and went 6-for-17 with one double and two runs scored.... See More ... See Less
Nationals' Jake Noll: Good to go after HBP
Nationals manager Dave Martinez said Noll is fine after he was struck in the helmet by a pitch during Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the Marlins, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.
Noll was one of two Nationals players to get drilled by a pitch Wednesday, as outfielder Victor Robles also departed after being struck on the wrist. Fortunately, neither player will end up missing time; Robles is back in the lineup Thursday against the Mets, while Noll should be available off the bench. The 26-year-old Noll is competing for a bench role on the Nationals' Opening Day roster.... See More ... See Less

Noll was recalled by the Nationals on Monday, Byron Kerr of MASNSports.com reports.
Noll will join the major-league roster for the first time this season after Brock Holt was placed on the paternity list Monday. Noll should serve in a depth role during his time in the big leagues this year.... See More ... See Less
Nationals' Jake Noll: Officially sent to Triple-A
Noll was optioned to Triple-A Fresno on Saturday, Jessica Camerato of MLB.com reports.
Noll was expected to begin the season in the minors once baseball resumes, but the move was made official Saturday. The 26-year-old posted a .929 OPS with one home run and three RBI over 23 at-bats this spring, but he'll need to demonstrate more consistency in the minors prior to being considered for a spot on the major-league roster.... Nationals' Jake Noll: Having solid spring
Noll has posted a .304/.407/.522 slash line through 23 spring plate appearances with one home run and a 4:4 BB:K.
The 26-year-old is set to begin the regular season back at Triple-A once baseball resumes, but Noll is at least making a good impression in camp. He does have a narrow path to playing time in the majors this year if Carter Kieboom's conversion to third base goes poorly and the Nats get hit with injuries around the infield, but his .737 OPS in 2019 for Triple-A Fresno highlights his lack of apparent upside.... Noll was recalled from Triple-A Fresno on Sunday and will start at first base while batting eighth against the Phillies.

Nationals' Jake Noll: Headed to minors
Noll is starting for Triple-A Fresno on Thursday, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.
While the Nationals have yet to officially announce anything, Noll's inclusion in Fresno's lineup suggests he will be the roster move needed to free up a 25-man spot for Carter Kieboom, who is set to be recalled from Fresno on Friday. Noll has appeared in just four games for the Nationals this season, going 1-for-6 with two RBI and three strikeouts.... See More ... See Less
Nationals' Jake Noll: Collects first big-league hit
Noll went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Wednesday's loss to the Rockies.
Getting the start at third base and hitting seventh, the rookie ripped a two-bagger off German Marquez in the second inning that brought home Matt Adams, giving Noll his first career major-league hit. He could return to Triple-A Fresno once Anthony Rendon (hand) is 100 percent, but Noll has been able to contribute in his limited opportunities so far with the Nats.... See More ... See Less
Nationals' Jake Noll: Recalled from Triple-A
Noll was recalled by the Nationals on Monday.

Noll was optioned to Triple-A Fresno following Wednesday's win over the Phillies, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.
Noll will head back to the minors with Howie Kendrick (hamstring) slated to return from the IL on Thursday. The rookie appeared in three games during his brief stint with the Nationals, going 0-for-2 before drawing a game-winning walk in Wednesday's extra-inning win over Philadelphia.... See More ... Nationals' Jake Noll: Makes Opening Day roster
Noll will break camp with the Nationals.
Noll has yet to play above Double-A, but the non-roster invitee earned a spot on the Nationals' Opening Day roster thanks to his strong showing in camp. Through 27 games, the 25-year-old slashed .314/.386/.510 with a pair of homers, 10 RBI and a 5:10 BB:K. He'll likely fill a bench role until Howie Kendrick (hamstring) or Michael Taylor (knee) is ready to return.... See More ... See Less
Nationals' Jake Noll: Still in hunt for roster spot
Noll remains one of 25 healthy players still attending the Nationals' big-league camp and tentatively looks on track to win an Opening Day roster spot, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.
After the Nationals demoted infielder Adrian Sanchez to Triple-A Fresno on Tuesday, Wilmer Difo, Matt Adams, Andrew Stevenson, Kurt Suzuki and Noll appear to have secured bench roles. Of that group, only Noll isn't currently on the 40-man roster, so the Nationals would need to make a transaction to clear a spot for him. It's possible the Nationals will survey the landscape for other available corner-infield options over the next two days before committing to Noll, who has been impressive during spring training but has yet to play above the Double-A level and isn't a noteworthy prospect.... Nationals' Jake Noll: Opening eyes in camp
Noll went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and three RBI in Thursday's Grapefruit League game against the Twins.
The 25-year-old was projected as a future big-league utility player, at best, coming into camp, but Noll has done his best to change that perception with a .367/.457/.700 slash line through 35 plate appearances that includes four doubles and two homers. A seventh-round pick out of college in 2016, he's been a bit old for his level at just about every stop up the ladder so far, but after putting together a .291/.341/.412 slash line last year in a campaign split equally between High-A Potomac and Double-A Harrisburg, an assignment to Triple-A Fresno seems likely. If Noll keeps raking, and injuries hit the Nats' roster, a big-league debut in 2019 isn't out of the question.... See More ... See Less
