Noll (finger) has gone 0-for-11 with three strikeouts in three games since being reinstated from Triple-A Rochester's 7-day injured list June 2.
Noll closed the 2022 season on Rochester's 60-day injured list with a fractured finger, but it's unclear if that injury or something unrelated delayed his 2023 debut by nearly two months. Whatever the case, Noll appears to be healthy again, though he looks as though he could maintain more of a part-time role for Rochester after previously playing on a near-everyday basis the past two seasons.

Noll was placed on Triple-A Rochester's 60-day injured list Tuesday with a fractured finger, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.
The 28-year-old suffered the injury over the weekend when he was hit by a pitch, and the move to the 60-day IL will end his 2022 campaign. Noll has been unable to get back to the majors since making his debut with seven games in 2020, and he'll finish the Triple-A season with a .256/.307/.415 slash line, 10 home runs and 53 RBI in 103 contests.

The Nationals reassigned Noll to minor-league camp Monday, Matt Weyrich of NBC Sports Washington reports.
Noll received 30 plate appearances at the big-league level with the Nationals between the 2019 and 2020 seasons, but he played exclusively at Triple-A Rochester in 2021. Even after posting a solid .840 OPS for Rochester last season, the 28-year-old expected to spent the majority of the upcoming campaign with the affiliate.

Noll remains in the organization after none of the league's other 29 teams put in a waiver claim for him when he was designated for assignment over the weekend. After the Nationals demoted infielder Adrian Sanchez to Triple-A Fresno on Tuesday, Wilmer Difo, Matt Adams, Andrew Stevenson, Kurt Suzuki and Noll appear to have secured bench roles. Of that group, only Noll isn't currently on the 40-man roster, so the Nationals would need to make a transaction to clear a spot for him. It's possible the Nationals will survey the landscape for other available corner-infield options over the next two days before committing to Noll, who has been impressive during spring training but has yet to play above the Double-A level and isn't a noteworthy prospect.

Nationals' Jake Noll: Opening eyes in camp

Noll went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and three RBI in Thursday's Grapefruit League game against the Twins.
The 25-year-old was projected as a future big-league utility player, at best, coming into camp, but Noll has done his best to change that perception with a .367/.457/.700 slash line through 35 plate appearances that includes four doubles and two homers. A seventh-round pick out of college in 2016, he's been a bit old for his level at just about every stop up the ladder so far, but after putting together a .291/.341/.412 slash line last year in a campaign split equally between High-A Potomac and Double-A Harrisburg, an assignment to Triple-A Fresno seems likely. If Noll keeps raking, and injuries hit the Nats' roster, a big-league debut in 2019 isn't out of the question.
