Marlins' Sean Reynolds: Sent to Double-A
The Marlins optioned Reynolds to Double-A Pensacola on Sunday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Miami added Reynolds, a converted first baseman, to the 40-man roster over the winter after he thrived in his first season of full-time pitching in the lower minors in 2022. Between stops at High-A Beloit and Pensacola, the 24-year-old right-handed reliever turned in a 4.13 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 66:24 K:BB in 52.1 innings while holding opposing hitters to a .201 average.

Marlins' Sean Reynolds: Added to 40-man roster
Reynolds' contract was selected by the Marlins on Thursday.
Reynolds was selected by the Marlins in the fourth round of the 2016 first-year player draft, but he's failed to progress higher than the Low-A level. The 24-year-old was likely added to Miami's 40-man roster to protect him from the upcoming Rule 5 draft.
