  • Enes Freedom: Waived by Houston

Freedom was waived by the Rockets following Thursday's trade from Boston, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. It took all of 10 minutes for the Rockets to announce that they'll waive Freedom, who came over from Boston on Thursday as part of a Daniel Theis-Dennis Schroder swap. Freedom will become a free agent and look to latch on with another team for the remainder of the season.

  • Rockets' Enes Freedom: Shipped to Houston

Freedom -- plus Bruno Fernando and Dennis Schroder -- was dealt Thursday from the Celtics to the Rockets for Daniel Theis, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. The addition of Theis for the Celtics made Freedom redundant. He'll presumably be out of the rotation or see single-digit minutes for Houston like he was with Boston. The Rockets have Christian Wood, Alperen Sengun and Kenyon Martin holding down minutes at center.

  • Celtics' Enes Freedom: Sees action blowout win

Freedom supplied seven points (3-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt), 12 rebounds and two assists across 12 minutes during Tuesday's 126-91 win over the Nets. Kanter has been getting DNP-CDs lately, but the blowout win for the Celtics allowed him to get some run. In typical fashion, he cleaned up on the boards in limited minutes.

  • Celtics' Enes Freedom: Grabs five boards in win

Freedom provided two points (0-1 FG, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 23 minutes during Monday's 104-92 win over the Pelicans. The Celtics were without Robert Williams (personal), but Freedom was still a non-factor offensively. Over his last seven games, the veteran big man has totaled just 15 points, 22 rebounds and three blocks. He's unlikely to warrant any fantasy consideration at any point this season, even in deeper leagues.

  • Celtics' Enes Freedom: Makes return to rotation

Freedom (COVID-19 health and safety protocols) played 12 minutes and recorded three rebounds and no other statistics in Thursday's 108-105 loss to the Knicks. Freedom cleared protocols Wednesday and was available for the Celtics' two-point loss to the Spurs that day, though he didn't see the court. Head coach Ime Udoka was willing to include Freedom in the rotation for the second end of the back-to-back set, deploying him as the primary backup to Robert Williams. Freedom should be part of the second unit more often than not, but his minutes will likely fluctuate based on matchups and whether or not Williams is dealing with foul trouble.

  • Celtics' Enes Freedom: Will be available Wednesday

Freedom (conditioning) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Wednesday's contest against the Spurs. Freedom cleared the NBA's health and safety protocols and returned to practice Tuesday, which appears to be enough to clear him for game action Wednesday. He's expected to assume his usual backup role behind Robert Williams (toe).

  • Celtics' Enes Freedom: Clears COVID-19 protocols

Freedom cleared the NBA's health and safety protocols and returned to practice Tuesday, Jared Weiss of The Athletic reports. Freedom hasn't played in a game since Dec. 22, so he will likely have to regain his conditioning before returning to action. He is expected to be labeled as questionable for Wednesday's contest against the Spurs.

  • Celtics' Enes Freedom: Enters COVID-19 protocols

Freedom was placed in the league's COVID-19 health and safety protocols Thursday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Freedom saw an uptick in playing time for the shorthanded Celtics, but he'll now be unavailable. While it's not yet clear whether Freedom tested positive for COVID-19, Robert Williams and Bruno Fernando should see increased roles in his absence.

  • Celtics' Enes Freedom: Returns to bench

Freedom will come off the bench Wednesday against the Cavaliers. Freedom started Monday with the Celtics short-handed and had 15 points (7-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds and one steal in 40 minutes. He'll return to the bench role Wednesday with Robert Williams (personal) rejoining the lineup.

  • Celtics' Enes Freedom: Double-double in start

Freedom logged 15 points (7-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds and one steal over 40 minutes during Monday's 108-103 loss to the 76ers. Freedom was heavily utilized with Al Horford (COVID-19 protocols) and Robert Williams (personal) unavailable. Although he struggled to stop Joel Embiid (41 points), Freedom was efficient and logged a healthy minus-3 during his time on the floor. The 29-year-old is an elite offensive rebounder and just last season ranked within the league's top 20 for total win shares. When starting, he should be regarded as quality fantasy piece.

  • Celtics' Enes Freedom: Draws start at center

Freedom is starting Monday's game against the 76ers, Jack Simone of Hoops Habit reports. Freedom will draw the nod at center, as the Celtics are now without Robert Williams (personal), Al Horford (COVID-19), Grant Williams (COVID-19) and Jabari Parker (COVID-19) in the frontcourt. This marks Freedom's first start of the 2021 campaign.

  • Celtics' Enes Freedom: Pulls down 15 boards Saturday

Freedom recorded nine points (4-6 FG, 1-2 FT), 15 rebounds and two blocks over 22 minutes during Saturday's 145-117 victory over the Trail Blazers. The blowout nature of the win and the absence of Al Horford (back) afforded Freedom more than his usual playing time, and he took advantage of the opportunity by grabbing a season-best 15 boards. The veteran center has registered a massive 17.4 rebounds per 36 minutes on the campaign, but his fantasy value is nearly non-existent since he is averaging only 12.7 minutes per game. That could change, however, if Horford needs to miss more time.

  • Celtics' Enes Kanter: Grabs eight boards Friday

Kanter ended Friday's 96-88 loss to San Antonio with three points (1-5 FG, 1-2 FT) and eight rebounds across 18 minutes. Kanter was able to log a few additional minutes as the Celtics attempted to match up with Jakob Poeltl on the other end. Despite the playing time boost, Kanter still managed mediocre production, highlighting just where he sits in terms of fantasy value. Long story short, he can safely be left on waivers in all competitive formats.

  • Celtics' Enes Kanter: Stays on bench during win

Kanter received a DNP - Coach's Decision in Sunday's 107-97 road win over the Rockets. Kanter has appeared in only one of Boston's first three games. That appearance was a brief five-minute stint during Friday's blowout loss to the Raptors. New coach Ime Udoka has essentially stuck with a nine-man rotation that has not yet included Kanter. The big veteran is squarely behind Robert Williams and Al Horford on the Boston depth chart. On Monday, the Celtics play the second of a back-to-back in Charlotte, which might force Udoka to play more of his reserves, but it's unlikely that Kanter will see enough minutes to gain fantasy relevance.

  • Celtics' Enes Kanter: Records 10 rebounds off bench

Kanter recorded two points (1-7 FG) and 10 rebounds during a 113-111 preseason win Saturday versus Toronto. Kanter logged a double-digit rebound tally despite playing just 15 minutes off the Celtics' bench. However, they started Al Horford and Robert Williams together during that game. Kanter will be their No. 2 center if the Celtics opt for a more conventional starting lineup.

  • Celtics' Enes Kanter: Returning to Boston

Kanter agreed to a one-year deal with the Celtics on Wednesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Before the 2020-21 campaign, Kanter was shipped from Boston to Portland. The 2011 No. 3 overall pick appeared in 72 games for the Blazers and averaged 11.2 points and 11.0 rebounds in 24.4 minutes per game. He is now back in Boston, where he averaged 8.1 points and 7.4 rebounds across 16.9 minutes per game during the 2019-20 season. Kanter will compete with recently acquired Al Horford for backup minutes behind Robert Williams. Chances are, he'll have a smaller role than the one he held in Portland last season, as Kanter's minutes were boosted by injury to Jusuf Nurkic.

  • Trail Blazers' Enes Kanter: Hauls in 15 boards in win

Kanter tallied 14 points (5-5 FG, 4-5 FT), 15 rebounds and one block in 22 minutes during Sunday's 132-116 win over the Nuggets. The 28-year-old recorded his 35th double-double of the season Sunday. Kanter ends the season strong after averaging just 5.3 points and 7.8 rebounds over his last four games. He played in all 72 games this season, averaging 11.2 points and 11.0 rebounds while shooting a career-high 60.4 percent from the field in that span. The 10-year veteran will look to help lead the Blazers' second unit heading into the NBA playoffs.

  • Trail Blazers' Enes Kanter: Makes first three of season

Kanter totaled five points (2-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and four rebounds in 16 minutes during Wednesday's 105-98 win over the Jazz. Overall, the big man had a lackluster offensive performance Wednesday, but he salvaged the night by hitting his first three-pointer of the season. Kanter has seen a reduced role since Jusuf Nurkic was elevated back into the starting lineup, but the 28-year-old out of Kentucky has still produced when the matchup suited him. However, a date with Rudy Gobert was not an advantageous matchup for Kanter, so the underwhelming numbers come as no surprise.

  • Trail Blazers' Enes Kanter: Double-doubles off bench

Kanter scored 10 points (4-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and grabbed 10 rebounds across 17 minutes in a 106-101 victory over the Lakers on Friday. The big man made the most of his limited time on the court, registering his second straight double-double despite logging only 17 minutes. Kanter has continued to contribute even after losing his starting job to the returning Jusuf Nurkic in late March, serving as a consistent double-double threat off the bench. On the season, Kanter is averaging 11.5 points and 11.2 boards while shooting a career-best 60.7 percent from the field.

  • Trail Blazers' Enes Kanter: Posts 18 points, 13 boards in win

Kanter tallied 18 points (9-11 FG), 13 rebounds and a block in Wednesday's blowout win over the Cavs. With the game getting well out of hand midway through the third quarter, Kanter was able to see a slightly extended role, as he topped 20 minutes (21) for the first time since April 20. One of the best volume rebounders in the league, Kanter took advantage of the opportunity to post his second double-double in the last 12 games.
