Wizards' Delon Wright: Back to bench Saturday
Wright will come off the bench Saturday against the Pelicans.
With Monte Morris (hamstring) back and in the starting five, Wright will resume a reserve role. In his past six games off the pine, the point guard has averaged 9.2 points, 4.8 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.2 steals in 24.3 minutes.... See More ... See Less
Wizards' Delon Wright: Draws start sans Morris
Wright will start Wednesday's game against the Rockets, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Wright will draw a spot start with Monte Morris (hamstring) taking the second night of a back-to-back set off. It'll mark Wright's first start of the season, but when he plays over 20 minutes (nine games), he's averaged 8.4 points, 4.3 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 2.2 steals. Kendrick Nunn should also see a sizable role during his Wizards debut.... See More ... See Less
Wizards' Delon Wright: Delivers fantasy-friendly line
Wright finished Saturday's 138-118 win over the Magic with 15 points (5-5 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight assists, three steals and three rebounds across 24 minutes.
After reaching double figures in scoring for the first time all season with an 11-point effort in Wednesday's win over the Knicks, Wright set a new personal benchmark for scoring Saturday. The flawless shooting from all three levels plus a season-high-tying assist total to go with his usual contributions in the steals category enabled Wright to deliver his best all-around fantasy line of the season. Given his low usage rate along with the fact that he remains in a 20-to-25-minute role, Wright shouldn't be counted on to be much of an asset in the scoring column, but his typically strong outputs in the steals and assists categories give him some appeal in 12-team leagues for managers looking for help in those particular areas.... Wizards' Delon Wright: Well-rounded contributor in win
Wright posted 11 points (3-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals across 22 minutes during Wednesday's 116-105 win over the Knicks.
Wright came off the bench again Wednesday, but he topped 20 minutes of playing time for a fourth consecutive game while scoring in double figures for the first time this season. He's made 12 appearances since returning from a hamstring injury, averaging 5.8 points, 3.5 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 19.8 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less
Wizards' Delon Wright: Will remain on minutes restriction
Wizards coach Wes Unseld Jr. said Wright will continue to have a minutes restriction for Friday's game versus the Knicks, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
Wright has been on a minutes restriction since recovering from a hamstring injury. The 30-year-old guard saw 25 minutes of action in his previous game, so it seems like he still has a reasonably long leash.... See More ... See Less
Wizards' Delon Wright: Contributes across the board in win
Wright finished with four points (2-4 FG), four rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block across 25 minutes in Wednesday's 100-97 win over the Bulls.
Wright hasn't exceeded nine points in any of his nine appearances since returning to action Dec. 23 after an extended absence due to a hamstring injury, but his scoring contributions aren't what fantasy managers in deeper leagues are rostering him for anyway. Instead, Wright's value is heavily concentrated in the steals category, an area where he once again shined Wednesday. He's now averaging 2.0 steals per game since returning to action, making him an excellent streaming option, particularly while plenty of minutes are up for grabs in the Washington backcourt in the absence of Bradley Beal (hamstring).... Wizards' Delon Wright: Just 19 minutes in victory Sunday
Wright closed with seven points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt), four rebounds, one assist and one steal over 19 minutes during Sunday's 118-95 win over the Bucks.
Wright continues to play as the primary backup behind Monte Morris, although his playing time remains frustratingly low. Since returning from injury, Wright has played fewer than 20 minutes in five straight games. During that time, he's averaging 1.6 steals, making him a viable streaming option in most leagues.... Wizards' Delon Wright: Active Friday
Wright (hamstring) will be available for Friday's game against the Kings.
Wright has been sidelined since late October with a right hamstring strain but is slated to return to the hardwood following the lengthy absence. Considering he hasn't seen game action in nearly two months, Wright will likely be under heavy restrictions Friday. Jordan Goodwin has impressed in Wright's absence and could retain a portion of the backup point guard minutes even when Wright is up to game speed.... See More ... See Less

Wizards' Delon Wright: Starting to ramp up
Wright (hamstring) remains without a clear timetable but is hoping to progress to 2-on-2 and 3-on-3 work soon, Meghan McPeak of NBC Sports Washington reports.
Speaking after Sunday's loss to the Lakers, coach Wes Unseld Jr. noted that Wright is still weeks away from a return but is beginning to move in the right direction. The plan is for Wright to travel with the team on its upcoming Western Conference road swing, which begins next Wednesday (Dec. 14) at Denver and continues through Dec. 23. It's possible Wright could return at some point during that trip, but either way it's a positive indication that he'll join the team on the road.... See More ... See Less

Wright (hamstring) has been cleared to begin individual on-court activities, but he'll be out for at least another three weeks.

Wright (hamstring) is expected to be reevaluated by the end of the weekend, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.

Wizards' Delon Wright: Ruled out indefinitely
Wright has been ruled out indefinitely due to a Grade 2 strain of his right hamstring.
Wright sustained a hamstring injury in the fourth quarter of Tuesday's matchup, and the issue will force him to miss significant time. In his lone season with the Hawks, the guard averaged 4.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.2 steals in 18.9 minutes of action. Expect the 30-year-old veteran to see minutes behind Johnny Davis, Monte Morris and Bradley Beal.... See More ... See Less
