  • Magic's Gary Harris: Starting against Phoenix

Harris (hip) is available for Thursday's game against the Suns and will be in the starting lineup, Khobi Price of the Orlando Sentinel reports. The coaching staff decided to wait for Harris until the last minute, and the veteran guard will be available while occupying his usual role in the starting lineup. He's averaging 7.6 points per game in March.

  • Magic's Gary Harris: Questionable Thursday

Harris is questionable for Thursday's game against the Suns due to soreness in his right hip flexor. This is the same injury that required Harris to miss a couple games at the beginning of March, and with Orlando sitting on a record of 28-41, there's not much incentive for the veteran to push through the pain. If Harris is forced to the sidelines, Jalen Suggs could get the spot start, and there would be more minutes available for Cole Anthony.

  • Magic's Gary Harris: Fails to assert himself in loss

Harris notched three points (1-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt), one rebound, two assists and one steal in 24 minutes during Tuesday's 132-114 loss to San Antonio. Despite garnering his usual starting role, Harris took just three shots during Tuesday's blowout loss, tying his season low. The veteran shooting guard has topped the double-digit threshold just three times over his past 11 appearances and is averaging 7.4 points on 37.3 percent shooting during that stretch.

  • Magic's Gary Harris: Scores 12 points in return

Harris (hip) produced 12 points (4-9 FG, 4-8 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and two steals over 30 minutes during Thursday's 131-124 loss to the Jazz. Harris returned from a two-game absence due to left adductor soreness and scored in double figures for just the sixth time since Nov. 28. His return sent Jalen Suggs to a reserve role, but Suggs was still able to submit a quality performance off the bench. Harris has started 27 straight appearances and is averaging 8.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.1 steals in 25.3 minutes during that stretch.

  • Magic's Gary Harris: Not listed on injury report

Harris isn't listed on the Magic's injury report ahead of Thursday's matchup against Utah. Harris is cleared to return following a two-game absence due to left adductor soreness. Before he was sidelined, he appeared in eight straight games and averaged 6.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.3 steals in 26.3 minutes during that stretch.

  • Magic's Gary Harris: Won't play Tuesday

Harris (hip) has been ruled out for Tuesday's matchup against the Bucks. Harris will miss back-to-back contests due to left adductor soreness. In his absence, Jalen Suggs will presumably draw another start. Harris' next chance to suit up will come Thursday against the Jazz.

  • Magic's Gary Harris: Iffy for Tuesday

Harris (hip) is questionable for Tuesday's matchup against the Bucks. Harris was sidelined for Sunday's loss to Portland due to left adductor soreness and is in danger of missing a second consecutive contest. If that's the case, Jalen Suggs figures to draw another start, while Cole Anthony and Michael Carter-Williams could garner increased roles off the bench.

  • Magic's Gary Harris: Ruled out

Harris (hip) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Portland. Harris has been downgraded from questionable to out and miss only his second contest since the start of the new calendar year. In his absence, Jalen Suggs, Cole Anthony and Michael Carter-Williams are all candidates for increased roles. Harris' next chance to suit up will come Tuesday versus the Bucks.

  • Magic's Gary Harris: Questionable Sunday

Harris is questionable for Sunday's tilt against the Trail Blazers due to left adductor soreness. Harris has been surprisingly healthy lately, missing just one game since the calendar turned to 2023. During this stretch (all starts), he's averaged 8.0 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.0 steals in 25.1 minutes. If he sits out Sunday, Jalen Suggs and Cole Anthony could see more action.

  • Magic's Gary Harris: Offers modest production Friday

Harris totaled nine points (4-8 FG, 1-5 3Pt), four rebounds and two steals in 27 minutes during Friday's 117-106 win over the Hornets. Harris continues to start for the Magic, a move that appears more baffling with each passing game. While he was able to post modest production on both ends of the floor, the long-term goal remains puzzling. As long as he is starting, Harris can have limited value in deeper formats, but as for standard leagues, he can remain safely on the waiver wire.

  • Magic's Gary Harris: Offers limited numbers as starter

Harris had six points (2-3 FG, 2-3 3Pt), one rebound and one assist over 23 minutes during Tuesday's 123-113 loss to Toronto. Harris looks as though he'll continue to serve as the Magic's starting shooting guard, but he's reached 30 minutes on two occasions all season and should cede considerable playing time at the position to the likes of Jalen Suggs and Cole Anthony (wrist). The stability of Harris' role is enough to give him some value in very deep leagues, but his fantasy upside isn't high while he typically serves as little more than a spot-up shooter on offense.

  • Magic's Gary Harris: Limited output in return

Harris posted six points (2-9 FG, 2-6 3Pt), two rebounds and two steals across 28 minutes in Saturday's overtime loss to the Heat. Harris returned from a one-game absence due to a groin injury, but he wasn't sharp and struggled massively from the field in what turned out to be an overtime loss for Orlando. The veteran guard has been struggling of late, posting 7.4 points per game on 35.5 percent shooting from the field over five outings this month.

  • Magic's Gary Harris: Good to go Saturday

Harris (groin) will play in Saturday's game against the Heat, Khobi Price of the Orlando Sentinel reports. Harris will return from a one-game absence with right groin soreness Saturday and should be expected to return to his starting role. Jalen Suggs will likely slide back to the bench for the contest. Prior to the injury, Harris scored in double figures just once in his last seven appearances, and he does not hold much fantasy value outside of his three-point shooting.

  • Magic's Gary Harris: Labeled questionable for Saturday

Harris (groin) is considered questionable for Saturday's game versus the Heat. Harris was unable to take the floor Thursday due to some right groin soreness, and his status for Saturday appears to be up in the air at this juncture as well. Should he be cleared to suit up, Jalen Suggs would presumably retreat to the bench.

  • Magic's Gary Harris: Ruled out Thursday

Harris (groin) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Nuggets. Harris is dealing with right adductor soreness and will be unavailable for the first time since Dec. 30. Jalen Suggs and Cole Anthony could see increased roles against Denver on Thursday as a result.

  • Magic's Gary Harris: Iffy against Denver

Harris is questionable for Thursday's game versus the Nuggets due to right adductor soreness. Harris is questionable to miss his first game since Dec. 30 on Thursday. Jalen Suggs, Cole Anthony and Terrence Ross are candidates to see extended minutes in his potential absence.

  • Magic's Gary Harris: Offering limited numbers as starter

Harris finished Sunday's 119-113 win over the Hornets with eight points (2-4 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 28 minutes. Harris has enjoyed a stable starting role for more than a month, but he's reached 30 minutes on just one occasion and typically sees scant usage as the fourth or fifth option on offense whenever he's on the court. His ability to defend opposing wings looks as though it'll continue to earn him minutes barring any other major additions by the Magic ahead of Thursday's trade deadline, but don't expect Harris' fantasy outlook to improve in any case. He's almost exclusively settled into a role as a spot-up shooter for the Magic; of his 26 field-goal attempts over the past four games, 24 have come from three-point range.

  • Magic's Gary Harris: Goes for season-high 22 points

Harris closed with 22 points (8-9 FG, 6-6 3Pt), one rebound and one steal across 26 minutes during Wednesday's 126-120 victory over Indiana. Harris was on fire Wednesday, scoring 11 points in the first half on 4-of-5 shooting from the field before going 4-of-4 in the second half to finish with a season-high 22 points. The shooting guard made all six of his three-point attempts, which also marked a season high, though he added just one rebound and one steal. Harris has connected on at least three shots from beyond the arc in three of his last four contests, helping Orlando go 3-1 over that stretch.

  • Magic's Gary Harris: Starting Sunday

Harris (finger) is starting Sunday's game against the Nuggets. Harris was added to Orlando's injury report due to a mallet finger on his right hand, but he'll be in the starting lineup for the matchup against Denver. Over his last six appearances, he's averaged 7.0 points and 2.2 rebounds in 23.2 minutes per game.

  • Magic's Gary Harris: Added back to injury report

Harris is listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Nuggets due to a mallet finger on his right hand, Khobi Price of the Orlando Sentinel reports. Harris was left off the Magic's initial injury report but has now been added to the list. He exited Friday's game early due to the injury, and it appears that further evaluation discovered he is dealing with mallet finger. Considering the injury is on his shooting hand, it's unclear if he will be able to play Sunday or if he is facing a longer absence.
