Spurs' Doug McDermott: Drills three triples in loss
McDermott finished with 13 points (5-7 FG, 3-3 3Pt), one rebound and one steal in 17 minutes in Monday's 147-127 loss to the Trail Blazers.
McDermott came off the bench to make his third appearance for the Spurs following a one-game absence due to a back issue. He turned in by far his best fantasy line of the three games Monday, but it took a flawless shooting night from downtown to get there. Even still, McDermott remained under 20 minutes and barely contributed elsewhere around the box score, which has been a familiar refrain throughout his career. McDermott isn't a player to monitor outside of the deepest of fantasy leagues, or on nights with a low volume of games where managers are looking to stream a player for three-pointers.... McDermott produced 14 points (5-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal across 22 minutes during Friday's 144-113 loss to the Warriors.
McDermott was efficient from the field and posted another game in double-digit scoring figures -- his fourth one in the current month. The veteran has averaged 12.5 points per game during his last six outings while seeing at least 20 minutes off the bench each time out. He can be a decent streaming option in deep formats, but his value will primarily be matchup-based in his current role.... See More ... See Less

McDermott supplied 15 points (5-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, one block and one steal over 23 minutes during Wednesday's 117-114 loss to New York.
McDermott posted his best scoring performance since Dec. 19 against Houston, and he did so by shooting the ball with efficiency. He knocked down 71.4 percent of his attempts from the field and two of three from downtown. He also notched his first block since Dec. 17 and his first steal since Nov. 26.... See More ... See Less
Spurs' Doug McDermott: Limited in Thursday's return
McDermott notched eight points (3-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt), one rebound and four assists across 16 minutes during Thursday's 122-115 victory over the Knicks.
McDermott returned after missing the previous game due to a knee injury but managed just eight points. Despite a relatively consistent role off the bench for the Spurs, McDermott has been unable to deliver anything even remotely close to fantasy value. At best, he should be looked at as a desperation stream option when in need of points and triples.... See More ... See Less

Spurs' Doug McDermott: Goes for 16 points Monday
McDermott contributed 16 points (6-11 FG, 4-6 3Pt), four rebounds and two assists in 23 minutes during Monday's 124-105 win over the Rockets.
McDermott made the most of some lackluster defense by scoring 16 points off the bench, the most he has tallied in almost four weeks. While he's had a couple of moments of relevance this season, the Spurs seem more interested in giving minutes to their young pieces. Barring a shift in mindset, McDermott can be safely left on the wire in all competitive leagues.... See More ... See Less
Spurs' Doug McDermott: Pops for 12 points in return
McDermott (ankle) scored 12 points (3-7 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and added three rebounds, two assists and one block across 23 minutes in Thursday's 118-109 win over the Rockets.
McDermott made his first appearance of December after missing both of the Spurs' previous two games with a sore right ankle.
