  • Celtics' Jabari Parker: Will be waived

Parker will be waived by the Celtics, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Boston is aiming to maintain roster flexibility, so Parker falls victim to circumstance. He appeared in 12 games and averaged 4.4 points and 2.3 rebounds in 9.3 minutes. He's appeared in just 63 games since the start of the 2019 season.

  • Celtics' Jabari Parker: Deemed questionable Wednesday

Parker is questionable Wednesday against San Antonio due to dental work. The forward is apparently getting dental work done, which may prevent him from seeing the floor Wednesday. If that's indeed the case, Juancho Hernangomez may finally see minutes versus the Spurs.

  • Celtics' Jabari Parker: Small role, despite missing players

Parker played nine minutes in Monday's 108-103 loss to the Timberwolves, finishing with three points (1-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists. Jayson Tatum's entry in the protocols Monday opened up minutes at forward for both Parker and Sam Hauser (11 minutes), though both players were only fringe members of the rotation. While Tatum is likely to miss at least a few more games, Boston could get at least one or two of the other nine players who were sidelined Monday back for the Celtics' next contest Wednesday against the Clippers. If that's the case, Parker would seem to be at risk of losing out on a spot on the second unit. Parker, who cleared the protocols himself Christmas Day, has logged just 21 total minutes between his first two games back in action.

  • Celtics' Jabari Parker: Could be available Saturday

Parker (COVID-19 protocols) is questionable for Saturday's matchup against the Bucks, Jared Weiss of The Athletic reports. Parker may help provide some relief to the extensive injury list the Celtics are dealing with. If available, he has a strong chance to see the court.

  • Celtics' Jabari Parker: Misses practice Thursday

Parker didn't practice Thursday due to an illness, Brian Robb of The Springfield Republican reports. Parker and Romeo Langford were held out of practice due to an illness. They should tentatively be deemed questionable ahead of Friday's game against the Warriors.

  • Celtics' Jabari Parker: Cleared ahead of Friday

Parker (illness) has been cleared to suit up for Friday's game against the Suns, Keith Smith of reports. Parker missed action earlier this week due to a non-COVID illness and will be available once again off the bench Friday. The 26-year-old has played sparingly so far this season, averaging 4.6 points and 2.1 rebounds in 9.9 minutes per contest.

  • Celtics' Jabari Parker: Questionable Wednesday

Parker (illness) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Clippers, Tim Bontemps of reports. Parker was unavailable in Tuesday's loss but has a chance to return Wednesday. However, his status shouldn't impact the Celtics' rotation.

  • Celtics' Jabari Parker: Contributes off bench

Parker tallied 13 points (5-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt), five rebounds and a block during Monday night's 140-129 overtime win over the Hornets. Parker logged 17 minutes in the overtime victory, marking the first time he's seen the court for the Celtics this season. He's a career 32.4 percent shooter from three, but it's fun to consider the impact a revamped stroke could have on Parker's game. For now, he remains buried on Boston's bench.

  • Celtics' Jabari Parker: Receives third DNP in win

Parker did not leave the bench during Sunday's 107-97 win at Houston. The eight-year veteran has yet to see the hardwood during Boston's first three contests. Parker and reserve center Bruno Fernando are the only two Celtics who have yet to see any playing time. Boston now travels to Charlotte for Monday's contest, the second of a back-to-back. Perhaps the tight schedule will force coach Ime Udoka to play more of his reserves.

  • Celtics' Jabari Parker: Back with Boston

Parker and the Celtics agreed on a contract Tuesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Parker spent the end of last season with the Celtics, where he averaged 6.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 13.8 minutes. The story of Parker's career continues to be injuries and poor defense keeping him off the court. Since being drafted second overall in 2014, Parker has only appeared in 298 games. He isn't expected to have a fantasy-relevant role this season.

  • Jabari Parker: Cut by Boston

The Celtics waived Parker on Sunday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. After signing with Boston late in the 2020-21 campaign, Parker averaged 6.4 points on 54.2 percent shooting from the field over 10 regular-season contests. Though the Celtics had room for him on the roster after already cutting down to the league-mandated 15 men, the front office evidently decided the spot could be better used elsewhere. The 26-year-old Parker could still catch on elsewhere for a team looking for a scoring forward off the bench.

  • Celtics' Jabari Parker: Starting Friday

Parker is starting Friday's preseason game against Miami, Brian Robb of The Springfield Republican reports. Parker will make his first start of the preseason and should see plenty of playing time with Robert Williams (knee) and Al Horford (COVID-19 protocols) sidelined. However, he's unlikely to have significant fantasy output to begin the regular season.

  • Celtics' Jabari Parker: Scores team-high 18 points Sunday

Parker tallied 18 points (6-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 5-6 FT), seven rebounds and two assists in 27 minutes during Sunday's 96-92 loss to the Knicks. Parker scored a season-high 18 points, as the Celtics ran out their second unit for the majority of the contest. While this was a nice performance for the former rookie standout, his role is typically quite minimal, so we shouldn't expect to see this kind of production again anytime soon.

  • Celtics' Jabari Parker: Posts six points off bench

Parker played 15 minutes in Thursday's 99-86 victory over Phoenix, totaling six points (3-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four rebounds, four assists and one steal. Though the six points were Parker's fewest since joining Boston nearly a week ago, he posted his best all-around stat line with four boards and four dimes. The veteran forward is averaging only 16 minutes per game with the Celtics, so his fantasy impact has been minimal. He's added some punch to the Celtics' bench, however, and is shooting an efficient 66.7 percent from the field.

  • Celtics' Jabari Parker: Scores 11 in 16 minutes

Parker posted 11 points (5-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and four rebounds in his Celtics debut Saturday night against Golden State. Parker agreed to a deal with the Celtics on Friday, so it was a quick turnaround to get him available for Saturday's contest. The 2014 No. 2 overall pick contributed right away off the bench, playing 16 minutes and finishing as a plus-6 in a game the Celtics won by five points. Going forward, it will be interesting to see if Parker can hang onto a regular role in the rotation. The eventual return of Evan Fournier (COVID-19 protocols) could reduce Boston's need for scoring off the bench.

  • Celtics' Jabari Parker: Available Saturday

Parker is available for Saturday's contest against the Warriors, Sean Grande of 98.5 The Sports Hub reports. Parker is available to make his Celtics debut Saturday. However, it's not a guarantee that he'll see the court. Parker has bounced around the league lately and has had trouble keeping a rotation spot and staying healthy. Since the start of the 2018-19 season, he's played for four teams (not counting the Celtics) and has averaged 14.0 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 25.4 minutes.
