Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Perfect from field Friday
Powell produced 14 points (7-7 FG), five rebounds, two assists and one steal across 20 minutes during Friday's 117-109 loss to the Hornets.
Powell has scored in double digits in three of his last five games, and he was particularly efficient in this one, not missing a single shot from the field. He's scoring just 7.1 points per game this season but has shot a career-high 73.0 percent from the field.

Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Blows up for 22 points
Powell finished Wednesday's 137-128 overtime win over the Spurs with a season-high 22 points (8-8 FG, 6-7 FT) to go with eight rebounds and two assists in 29 minutes.
While Powell made good for anyone with the foresight to stream him or deploy him in DFS, it's difficult to envision him replicating the offensive production anytime soon. Not only was nearly perfect from both the field and the free-throw line, but Powell benefited from a matchup with one of the NBA's worst teams as well as an uptick in usage, with his 18.2 percent rate on the night handily outpacing his season-long rate (12 percent). The absences of all of Kyrie Irving (foot), Luka Doncic (thigh) and Tim Hardaway (calf) left Dallas with few reliable scoring options, and though all three could remain out for Friday's game against the Lakers, Powell is still likely to find himself behind all of Christian Wood, Josh Green, Reggie Bullock and Jaden Hardy in the offensive hierarchy.

Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Non-existent despite starting role
Powell recorded two points (1-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt), five rebounds and three assists over 17 minutes during Monday's 104-88 loss to the Grizzlies.
Powell continues to start for the Mavericks, although his output says otherwise. Despite starting every game over the past two months, Powell is well outside the top 200 in standard formats, highlighting just how little he has been able to impact games, at least from a production perspective. He can be considered in very deep formats, but as for standard leagues, you need not bother.

Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Near double-double in win
Powell totaled 10 points (5-7 FG, 0-2 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and three steals over 27 minutes during Thursday's 142-116 victory over the Spurs.
Powell was one of eight Mavericks to score in double figures Thursday, as Dallas dismantled the Spurs en route to a blowout victory. The veteran big man also grabbed a team-high eight boards and recorded at least three steals in a game for the third time this season. Powell hasn't missed a contest since Dec. 19, and during that stretch, he's averaged 7.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.2 steals-plus-blocks in 22.4 minutes across 30 appearances (18 starts).

Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Grabs team-high 10 boards
Powell accumulated eight points (4-4 FG), 10 rebounds, two assists and one steal across 21 minutes during Wednesday's 118-109 loss to the Nuggets.
Powell fell under double figures in scoring for the fourth game in a row while taking on his usual low-usage role on offense, but he returned value on the glass, claiming double-digit rebounds for the second time this season. Though he looks as though he'll continue to start at center over Christian Wood, Powell's volatile minutes and inconsistent contributions in most categories make him useful only in deeper leagues.

Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Double-doubles in win
Powell accumulated 12 points (4-5 FG, 4-5 FT), 16 rebounds, two assists and one block over 28 minutes during Monday's 124-111 victory over the Jazz.
Christian Wood (thumb) returned to action following an eight-game absence, but Powell's playing time wasn't affected while Wood was eased back in with an 18-minute workload off the bench. The two big men had been starting alongside one another prior to Wood's injury, but Dallas could prefer to have more of a floor-spacing option like Reggie Bullock as the power forward once both Luka Doncic (heel) and the newly acquired Kyrie Irving are available. Whether the Mavericks eventually settle on Wood or Powell as their starting center or deploy the two alongside one another, Powell likely won't see enough touches on the offensive end or contribute enough in other areas to warrant much intrigue outside of deeper leagues.

Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Decent numbers in loss
Powell closed with 10 points (4-5 FG, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, one block and four steals over 30 minutes during Saturday's 119-113 loss to the Warriors.
Powell's output has dipped this season due to Christian Wood's (thumb) presence, but the former has seen a bit of a boost during the latter's recent absence. Over the past eight games, Powell has averaged 9.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 0.8 blocked shots.

Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Scores 15, swats three shots
Powell ended with 15 points (6-9 FG, 3-6 FT), four rebounds, one assist and three blocks across 36 minutes during Thursday's 99-95 win over Phoenix.
Powell couldn't repeat the season-best outing of 22 points and nine rebounds he delivered against the Wizards on Tuesday, but he was efficient from the field and produced on both ends of the court, finishing with a season-high block total. He's started in 10 of Dallas' last 11 games and is averaging 8.5 points with 4.4 rebounds per game in that span.

Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Season-best performance in loss
Powell finished Tuesday's 127-126 loss to the Wizards with 22 points (8-12 FG, 6-7 FT), nine rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 34 minutes.
Powell came out of nowhere to set new season highs in points and rebounds, doing so while shooting more reliably than usual from the free-throw line. Considering he played just 21 minutes one game earlier and reached double figures in scoring just once in his previous nine outings, Powell will need to string together a few eye-popping performances in a row before he'll be worthy of scooping up on waiver wires in 12-team category leagues. His outlook is also expected to take a hit in the near term, as Christian Wood (thumb) could be cleared to play as soon as the end of the week.

Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Contributes little despite start
Powell closed Sunday's 112-98 loss to the Clippers with nine points (4-4 FG, 1-2 FT), four rebounds and two assists over 21 minutes.
Powell continues to start for the Mavericks, although even without Christian Wood (thumb), he has been unable to make any fantasy noise. There is very little excitement when it comes to Powell's fantasy game, often providing much better real life value. Barring a miracle, there is no reason for managers in standard leagues to pay him any attention.

Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Starting against Blazers
Powell is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Trail Blazers.
Powell will get the nod over Christian Wood, who will miss Saturday's game due to a sprained right ankle. Powell is averaging 5.5 points and 3.3 rebounds across 17.5 minutes per game in 26 starts this season.

Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Available Thursday
Powell (hip) is available off the bench for Thursday's matchup against the Lakers.
Powell was forced out of Tuesday's loss to the Clippers early due to a right hip contusion. With Dorian Finney-Smith (adductor) still sidelined, Reggie Bullock and JaVale McGee could see extended minutes if Powell deals with any setbacks.

Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Listed as questionable for Thursday
Powell (hip) is questionable for Thursday's matchup against the Lakers.
Powell was knocked out of Tuesday's loss to the Clippers due to a hip injury and is in jeopardy of missing at least one additional contest. The severity of the issue remains unclear, but it's at least somewhat positive news that the veteran big man wasn't initially ruled out. Dorian Finney-Smith (adductor) remains sidelined, so if Powell is held out as well, Davis Bertans, Reggie Bullock and JaVale McGee would all be candidates for increased roles Thursday.

Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Out for remainder of game
Powell (hip) won't return to Tuesday's game versus the Clippers, Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.com reports.
Powell has been downgraded from questionable to out for the remainder of Tuesday's game with a hip contusion. Davis Bertans has started the second half in Powell's place. Powell's status for Thursday's matchup with the Lakers is uncertain. The center finished Tuesday's contest with four points (1-1 FG, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and one steal in eight minutes.

Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Questionable to return Tuesday
Powell is questionable for the remainder of Tuesday's game versus the Clippers due to a right hip contusion.
Powell exited Tuesday's game after recording four points, two rebounds and one steal in eight minutes. JaVale McGee and Christian Wood are in line to see extended minutes in his absence. If Powell can't return against the Clippers, his next chance to suit up is Thursday's matchup with the Lakers.

Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Barely noticeable in start
Powell closed with two points (1-1 FG), four rebounds, one block and one steal across 15 minutes during Saturday's 127-117 victory over the Pelicans.
Powell was back in the starting lineup Saturday, although you certainly wouldn't know it looking at the final boxscore. He did manage two combined steals and blocks, although beyond that was a huge bucket of nothing. Whether he is starting or coming off the bench, Powell's real-life value far outweighs his fantasy value. Even managers in deeper formats would be better off streaming his spot, as opposed to holding on and waiting for him to blow up.

Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Starting against Pelicans
Powell is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Pelicans.
Powell returns to the starting lineup after a four-game stretch as a bench alternative. The big man has started 23 times in the current campaign and is averaging 5.7 points with 3.2 rebounds across 17.7 minutes per tilt.
