Sampson scored 20 points (9-13 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) while adding three rebounds and an assist across 20 minutes in Saturday's loss to the Lakers. Sampson had scored in double digits just three times all season long, but two of those games have come in his last two appearances. He's making the most of the uptick in playing time due to the injuries affecting the Pacers' roster. Sampson is not expected to be a major fantasy asset when some regulars return to action, though, so expecting double-digit scoring performances from him might not be a realistic expectation going forward.... Pacers' JaKarr Sampson: Scores 14 in loss
Sampson scored 14 points (6-10 FG, 2-2 FT, 0-2 3Pt) and grabbed five rebounds in 19 minutes during Thursday's 142-133 loss to the Bucks. In his first extended action since missing six games due to a concussion, Sampson made six of his eight field-goal attempts inside the arc on his way to 14 points (most since April 7). The Pacers were without Caris LeVert (knee) and Aaron Holiday (toe), which allowed Sampson to get some extra run. Before his concussion, Sampson started four games and played in 20-plus minutes in each of those contests. If he continues to produce the way he did Thursday, he may be in line for a bigger role in the play-in games.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' JaKarr Sampson: Available Tuesday
Sampson (concussion) is available Tuesday against the 76ers. The 28-year-old was considered questionable and will retake the court after missing the past six games with a concussion. Sampson started the four games prior to the concussion and averaged 7.0 points and 4.8 rebounds in 22.8 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' JaKarr Sampson: Questionable Tuesday
Sampson (concussion) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against Philadelphia. Sampson has missed the last six games due to a concussion, but he still has a chance to return Tuesday. If he's available, he could take on a slightly larger workload than normal with several rotation players out with injuries.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' JaKarr Sampson: Out for sixth straight game
Sampson (concussion) is listed as out for Monday's game at Cleveland. A concussion will keep Sampson out for the sixth straight game, and with the Pacers entering a back-to-back, he'll probably remain out Tuesday against Philadelphia, as well.... See More ... See Less -

Sampson (concussion) is out Saturday against the Wizards. Sampson remains in concussion protocol and will miss a fifth straight game. His next chance to return is Monday against the Cavaliers.... See More ... See Less -

Pacers' JaKarr Sampson: Remains out
Sampson (concussion) remains out Wednesday against the Kings. He's still in the NBA's concussion protocol, so Sampson will miss a third straight game. With the Pacers heading into a back-to-back, it wouldn't be a surprise if he remains out Thursday against Atlanta, as well.... See More ... See Less -

Pacers' JaKarr Sampson: In concussion protocol
Sampson has been placed in concussion protocol ahead of Saturday's game against the Thunder, J. Michael of The Indianapolis Star reports. Sampson was hit in the head by Blake Griffin during Thursday's game and wasn't clear-headed even after the game ended. There's a good chance he'll sit out Saturday. If that's the case, more minutes would be available for Kelan Martin and Doug McDermott.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' JaKarr Sampson: Helped to locker room Thursday
Sampson (head) will not return to Thursday's game against Detroit had to be helped to the locker room in the second half. Sampson suffered a head injury after he had started and played 20 minutes of action Thursday, scoring eight points and adding six boards. The severity of the injury is unclear at this time, but he's being evaluated and should be considered questionable at the moment for Saturday's game against Oklahoma City.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' JaKarr Sampson: Joins starting five
Sampson will start Saturday's game against the Pistons, Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com reports. Sampson is getting the nod over Justin Holiday, and it will be Sampson's first start of the season. In the seven games this season that Sampson has seen double-digit minutes, he's averaged 6.0 points and 4.1 rebounds.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' JaKarr Sampson: Suspended one game
Sampson has been suspended one game without pay following an on-court altercation, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Sampson returned from a back injury Monday against the Spurs, but after headbutting Patty Mills in that game, he'll be unavailable for Wednesday's matchup against Oklahoma City. Kelan Martin could see slightly increased run Wednesday.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' JaKarr Sampson: Available Sunday

Pacers' JaKarr Sampson: Out Friday
Sampson is out for Friday's game against the Jazz due to lower back soreness. Sampson hasn't been a part of the Pacers' rotation for the past four games. His absence won't affect the gameplan.... See More ... See Less -
Pacers' JaKarr Sampson: Scores season high
Sampson logged 16 points (6-10 FG, 0-1 3PT, 4-5 FT), five rebounds and one block in a 141-137 win Wednesday over the Timberwolves. Sampson missed nearly the entire month of March due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols, and then a knee injury, but since his return the young forward has surprisingly been a critical part of the Pacers' rotation, averaging 9.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 17 minutes over his last three games. With starters Domantas Sabonis (ankle) and Malcolm Brogdon (hip) having missed the past few games, bench players like Sampson, Kelan Martin and Aaron Holiday have been appointed additional minutes. Expect the forward's minutes to decrease once Sabonis and Brogdon return from their respective injuries.... See More ... See Less -

Sampson (knee) was available but did not play Sunday against the Heat. Sampson had been questionable due to soreness in his left knee but did not play in the overtime loss despite being listed as available. The 28-year-old hasn't appeared in a game in three weeks.... See More ... See Less -
