Watanabe (back) is available for Sunday's game against Charlotte, Meghan Triplett of GrindCityMedia.com reports. Watanabe has been dealing with back soreness recently but will be able to suit up against the Hornets. However, he hasn't been a consistent part of Brooklyn's rotation following the trade deadline, and he isn't guaranteed to see much playing time Sunday.

Watanabe has been ruled out for Friday's game against Boston due to back soreness, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports. Watanabe was available for Wednesday's game against the Knicks but didn't see any playing time. He continues to deal with back soreness and won't suit up Friday, but his absence shouldn't significantly impact Brooklyn's rotation.

  • Nets' Yuta Watanabe: Officially questionable Wednesday

Watanabe (back) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Knicks. Watanabe missed Tuesday's game against Milwaukee due to a sore back, and it's unclear whether he'll be available for the second half of the back-to-back set. His status shouldn't significantly impact the Nets' rotation.

  • Nets' Yuta Watanabe: Uncertain against Knicks

Coach Jacque Vaughn isn't sure if Watanabe (back) will be available for Wednesday's game versus the Knicks, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports. • Nets' Yuta Watanabe: Out with back soreness

Watanabe (back soreness) is out Tuesday against the Bucks, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports. Watanabe has been a victim of the frontcourt logjam in Brooklyn and hasn't seen minutes in the double digits since Feb. 9.

  • Nets' Yuta Watanabe: Dazzles from deep Thursday

Watanabe finished with 14 points (5-7 FG, 4-5 3Pt), one rebound, two assists and one steal across 22 minutes during Thursday's 116-105 victory over Chicago. Watanabe made four of his five three-point attempts and registered double-digit points just for the third time since the beginning of January. The forward remains one of the best long-range shooters in the league and has made 44.4 percent of his three-point attempts over his last 18 contests.

  • Nets' Yuta Watanabe: Good to go Thursday

Watanabe (back) will be available for Thursday's game versus the Bulls, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports. Watanabe missed the Nets' previous game due to back soreness, but it looks like that's the only game he'll sit out. The 28-year-old wing will have a new rotation to navigate with Kevin Durant (Suns) and Kyrie Irving (Mavericks) gone, but he now has Dorian Finney-Smith, Mikal Bridges and Spencer Dinwiddie in the mix for minutes.

  • Nets' Yuta Watanabe: Questionable Thursday

Watanabe (back) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Bulls, Christian Arnold of Associated Press reports. Watanabe missed Tuesday's game against the Suns due to back tightness, but he'll be in the mix to return to action for Thursday's matchup. However, Dorian Finney-Smith (coach's decision) will be available against Chicago, so Watanabe might not see much playing time if he's cleared to suit up.

  • Nets' Yuta Watanabe: Out Tuesday with tight back

Watanabe won't be available for Tuesday's game against the Suns due to back tightness, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports. Watanabe likely picked up the injury at some point during the Nets' 124-116 loss to the Clippers on Monday, when he played 21 minutes and finished with zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds and three assists. He'll be one of five Nets players listed as out for the second half of the back-to-back, and Brooklyn could be further shorthanded at forward if T.J. Warren (shin) gets the night off after he returned Monday following a four-game absence. Even if Watanabe's back issue proves to be a short-term concern, he could still find himself on the fringe of head coach Jacque Vaughn's rotation in the Nets' next game Thursday against the Bulls, when new trade acquisition Dorian Finney-Smith should be available to make his team debut.

  • Nets' Yuta Watanabe: Shoots poorly against Celtics

Watanabe closed Wednesday's 139-96 loss to the Celtics with six points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal in 19 minutes. Watanabe carried a probable tag into Wednesday's game due to a minor back issue but still came close to his usual workload in what was ultimately a blowout. He's been red hot from the field this season and entered Wednesday's game shooting at a 53 percent clip, so he'll be looking to get back on track versus the Wizards on Saturday.

  • Nets' Yuta Watanabe: Will be available Wednesday

Watanabe (back) is available for Wednesday's contest against the Celtics, Chris Milholen of NetsDaily.com reports. As expected, Watanabe will be available despite initially being listed as probable with back tightness. With Kevin Durant (knee), Ben Simmons (knee) and T.J. Warren (lower leg) all out, the fifth-year forward should see an increased role off the bench. Over his past four appearances, Watanabe has averaged 10.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 blocks in 21.8 minutes per game.

  • Nets' Yuta Watanabe: Probable despite back tightness

Watanabe is probable for Wednesday's game against Boston due to back tightness, Meghan Triplett of GrindCityMedia.com reports. Watanabe lands on the injury report with a back issue, but it doesn't appear like he's in danger of sitting out Wednesday's game. The fifth-year forward has appeared in 23 straight contests and is averaging 10.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 21.8 minutes over his last four appearances.

  • Nets' Yuta Watanabe: Perfect from perimeter

Watanabe posted nine points (3-4 FG, 3-3 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists across 17 minutes during Saturday's 122-115 win over the Knicks. Watanabe shot a perfect 3-of-3 from the perimeter, continuing what has been a breakout season. Although his role remains sketchy, at best, Watanabe is proving to be one of the best three-point marksmen in the league, at least from an efficiency standpoint at 52.4 percent for the season. While his role does not warrant long-term attention in standard formats, he can be utilized for streaming purposes, if you catch him on the right night.

  • Nets' Yuta Watanabe: Contract guaranteed for 2022-23

The Nets guaranteed Watanabe's contract for the rest of the season Friday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports. Watanabe has become an important rotation player for the Nets, so his contract being guaranteed was expected. The 28-year-old forward is averaging 7.7 points and 3.0 rebounds in 18.7 minutes across 25 games this season. Watanabe's most valuable asset is his three-point accuracy, as he is shooting 51.4 percent on 2.9 attempts per contest.

  • Nets' Yuta Watanabe: Good to go against Milwaukee

Watanabe (hamstring) is available to play in Friday's game versus the Bucks. Watanabe has been upgraded from questionable to available Friday with right hamstring tightness. The 28-year-old forward has averaged 8.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 21.8 minutes across his last five games.

  • Nets' Yuta Watanabe: Questionable Friday

Watanabe is questionable for Friday's game against the Bucks due to right hamstring tightness, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports. Watanabe is questionable Friday after appearing in all of the Nets' last five games. Royce O'Neale and Seth Curry are candidates to see extended minutes in his potential absence.

  • Nets' Yuta Watanabe: Gets 21 minutes in return

Watanabe (hamstring) finished with 10 points (4-10 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and one steal in 21 minutes Saturday in the Nets' 136-133 win over the Pacers. Brooklyn had only nine players available for the second half of a back-to-back set, so Watanabe ended up getting a solid amount of run off the bench even though a hamstring injury had sidelined him for the previous 10 contests. Before the injury surfaced, Watanabe had been a pleasant surprise for Brooklyn mostly because of his elite shooting; he's converting at a 58.2 percent clip from the field and 53.2 percent rate from three-point range through 15 appearances. Brooklyn is expected to get all of its missing rotation players from Saturday back for Monday's game in Washington with the exception of Royce O'Neale (personal), so Watanabe could see his playing time get cut down to some degree.

  • Nets' Yuta Watanabe: Clear of injury report

Watanabe (hamstring) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Saturday's game versus the Pacers, Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reports. Watanabe was scheduled to make his return to the floor Saturday and will do just that. He could be in for as much of a workload as he can handle, with most of the team's regulars getting the day off.
