Jones managed to salvage his line with a team-high rebound total, helping him overcome an abysmal shooting effort. The 26-year-old finished last season playing with Spanish club Saski Baskonia in the EuroLeague, and he also has 32 games of NBA experience with the Mavericks, Pelicans and Cavaliers. The 25-year-old heads to Europe after he was waived earlier this month by the Cavaliers, who had previously designated him as one of their two two-way players. He split time between Cleveland and the G League's Canton Charge, logging 16 games at the NBA level and averaging 5.1 points and 2.1 rebounds in 13.4 minutes per contest. With a strong showing overseas during the next few months, Jones may be able to earn a training-camp invite from an NBA squad next summer.

The former Aggie once again figures to have an uphill climb to a roster spot and playing time in the coming season, considering the likes of Harrison Barnes, Wesley Matthews and current Vegas Summer League teammate Dorian Finney-Smith all presently slot ahead of him on the depth chart.
