  • Nuggets' Jay Huff: Rare appearance Monday

Huff racked up zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one block in three minutes during Monday's 128-103 win over Memphis. Huff closed the game Monday, logging three minutes in garbage time. Having played just three games over the past month, Huff is about as far from a fantasy target as you will find. Managers are justified in ignoring this performance.

  • Nuggets' Jay Huff: Joins Denver via two-way deal

Huff agreed to a two-way deal with the Nuggets on Sunday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Huff has made only 11 NBA appearances between stops with the Lakers and Wizards over the last two seasons. However, the seven-footer turned in impressive per-minute averages during his brief stint with Washington late in the 2022-23 campaign and could get the chance to carve out more of a foothold at the NBA level in 2023-24 as he joins a Nuggets squad lacking in much dependable depth behind starter Nikola Jokic. If Huff can't surpass the likes of Zeke Nnaji and DeAndre Jordan on the depth chart, he could end up seeing most of his action with the Nuggets' G League affiliate early on in the campaign.

  • Wizards' Jay Huff: Excels again in backup role

Huff posted 14 points (5-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal across 30 minutes in Wednesday's 134-116 loss to the Hawks. Huff has supplanted Taj Gibson for the backup center role in both of the Wizards' past two games and based on how he's performed, the 24-year-old Virginia production looks poised to remain Daniel Gafford's top understudy for the final two contests of the season. He followed up a 17-point, nine-rebound performance in Tuesday's 140-128 loss to the Timberwolves with another solid line in the second leg of the back-to-back set, and Huff actually outpaced Gafford (23 minutes) in terms of playing time.

Huff registered 12 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, an assist and two blocks across 24 minutes in Saturday's win over Westchester. Huff posted a decent stat line but didn't log heavy minutes, as Capital City already locked up a playoff spot. The big man should be one of the Go-Go's most prominent offensive weapons in the postseason after he averaged 16.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game across nine outings with Capital City in the regular season. That was an uptick in numbers compared to the 14.3 points per game he averaged across 19 outings with the South Bay Lakers earlier in the campaign.

Huff's 14 rebounds and three blocks were both game-high totals, while he shot a blistering 72.7 percent from the field. • Jay Huff: Suffers cold shooting night

Huff managed just four points (2-10 FG), nine rebounds and two blocks in 18 minutes in Wednesday's 115-113 win over College Park. Huff played his fewest minutes all season, in part due to his massive inefficiency on offense. The big man shot just 20 percent from the field without attempting a single three-pointer or free throw in the win. However, Huff was able to make an impact on the boards, nabbing five offensive rebounds in his limited action.
