  • Magic's Caleb Houstan: Starting in season finale

Houstan is in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Heat, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Houstan started against the Cavaliers on Thursday and scored eight points, and while he moved back to a bench role Friday against the Nets, he still logged 26 minutes. Houstan is averaging 7.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per contest in his previous three starts. The Magic will be without Paolo Banchero (back) for the third straight game to end the season.

  • Magic's Caleb Houstan: Will start Thursday

Houstan will start Thursday's game against the Cavaliers, Philip Rossman-Reich of OrlandoMagicDaily.com reports. Houstan has made just two other starts this season, totaling 14 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and two steals in 59 minutes during those contests.

  • Magic's Caleb Houstan: Nothing to see in nine minutes

Houstan had zero points (0-3 FG, 0-3 3Pt) in nine minutes during Tuesday's 113-108 loss to the Grizzlies. Houstan failed to record a single stat in the loss, continuing what has been an unproductive stretch. Despite having played in six consecutive games, he has scored a grand total of eight points, all coming in one game against the Knicks. Based on what we have seen to this point, Houstan is a long way off from being relevant in fantasy.

  • Magic's Caleb Houstan: Moves up to NBA

Orlando recalled Houstan from the G League's Lakeland Magic on Tuesday. The addition of Houstan ahead of Tuesday's game in San Antonio will afford the Magic some extra depth at forward in the event Franz Wagner (ankle) -- who is listed as questionable -- is unable to play. Even if Wagner is ruled out for the contest, Houstan may still find himself behind Paolo Banchero, Gary Harris and Bol Bol in the pecking order for playing time at either forward spot.

Houstan recorded 17 points (6-11 FG, 5-10 3Pt), five rebounds, two assists and one block across 28 minutes during Sunday's 119-95 win over the Go-Go. The 20-year-old guard is currently averaging 16.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game across 11 appearances with the G League Magic.

  • Magic's Caleb Houstan: Assigned to Lakeland

The Magic assigned Houstan to the G League's Lakeland on Sunday. Houstan has played more than 20 minutes just twice since the start of January and doesn't have a clear role in the Magic's rotation, so as things stand now, it seems the best thing for him is to continue progressing and developing at the G League level rather than seeing limited minutes with Orlando.

  • Magic's Caleb Houstan: Splashes four treys in loss

Houstan contributed a career-high 12 points (4-8 FG, 4-8 3Pt) and added three assists, one rebound and one steal across 26 minutes in Sunday's 133-103 loss to the 76ers. Houstan's performance was one of the few positive takeaways on the day for the Magic, who were trailing by 22 points at halftime and gave extended run to the second-unit players over the final two quarters. Given the Magic's lengthy injury report, Houstan should have a path to a regular rotation spot for the foreseeable future, but he's unlikely to regularly surpass 20 minutes in games where Orlando is more competitive.
