Collins produced 21 points (9-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal over 32 minutes during Saturday's 143-130 victory over Indiana. Collins scored double-digits for the fifth straight game, during which time he has shot at least 50 percent in all five. After a mediocre season, Collins is finding some consistency, much to the delight of fantasy managers battling in their playoffs. The Hawks play again Sunday, making Collins a firm hold in all formats, at least for now.... See More ... See Less

Hawks' John Collins: Heats up with 22 points
Collins closed Friday's 127-119 victory over the Warriors with 22 points (8-15 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, one block and one steal across 29 minutes. Collins was on a mission right from the start of this game, racking up 17 points in the first quarter alone. The last time that Collins eclipsed 17 points in an entire game was way back on Jan. 25. He's been working with shooting coach Kyle Korver and will look to build on this momentum Sunday against the Spurs.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' John Collins: Lands four triples in win
Collins finished Wednesday's 122-120 victory over the Wizards with 14 points (5-9 FG, 4-7 3Pt), five rebounds, one block and one steal across 29 minutes. Collins paced Atlanta with a team-high mark from three-point range, a surprising development given that he had hit just four triples combined in his last eight appearances. Though he paired the three-point production with contributions in the defensive categories, Collins continues to endure a disappointing fantasy season relative to where he went in drafts. His season-long averages of 12.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.8 three-pointers are all his lowest since he became a full-time starter in the 2018-19 campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' John Collins: Available to play Sunday
Collins (back) has been upgraded to available and will play Sunday against the Nets. Collins was tabbed as a game-time call after missing Friday's game against the Cavaliers due to tightness in his lower back, but the big man is healthy enough to feature Sunday and should start, as has been the case in each of his previous 50 appearances this season. He's averaging 11.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game across seven February outings.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' John Collins: Questionable for Sunday
Collins is questionable for Sunday's game against the Nets due to low-back tightness, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Collins has exited concussion protocol, but his status is still in questionable due to a back issue. If Collins is held out again, Saddiq Bey would presumably draw a second consecutive start.... Hawks' John Collins: Ruled out Friday
Collins (concussion) has been ruled out for Friday's game against Cleveland, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports. Collins landed in the NBA's concussion protocol Saturday and was unable to gain clearance during the All-Star break. His next chance to play will be Sunday against Brooklyn.... See More ... Hawks' John Collins: Enters concussion protocol
The Hawks placed Collins in the NBA's concussion protocol Saturday. Collins departed Wednesday's game versus the Knicks with a head injury and has been officially diagnosed with a concussion. He'll get some additional time to rest up and work through the recovery steps during the All-Star break before his next chance to suit up arrives Feb. 24 against the Cavaliers.... See More ... Hawks' John Collins: Will not return
Collins (head evaluation) has been ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday's game against the Knicks. Collins will finish Wednesday's tilt with eight points, two rebounds and one block across 22 minutes. Trent Forrest, Saddiq Bey and Jalen Johnson are likely to pick up his vacated minutes. Collins will have the entirety of the All-Star break to heal up before the Hawks take on the Cavaliers on Feb. 24.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' John Collins: Iffy to return Wednesday
Collins is questionable to return to Wednesday's game versus the Knicks due to a head injury. Collins tallied eight points, two rebounds and one block in 22 minutes before exiting Wednesday's game. Trent Forrest, Saddiq Bey and Jalen Johnson are candidates to see extended minutes if Collins is unable to return.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' John Collins: Good to go Wednesday
Collins (hip) has been cleared to play Wednesday against the Knicks, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Collins should re-join the starting five, pushing Saddiq Bey to the bench. Prior to Collins' absence during Monday's loss to the Hornets, the forward appeared in 27 straight games and averaged 14.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 blocks in 31.1 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' John Collins: Participates in shootaround
Collins (hip) participated in morning shootaround but remains listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Knicks, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports. Collins sat out Monday's loss to Charlotte, but his participation in shootaround suggests he's trending in the right direction. He'll have his status updated ahead of the 7:30 p.m. ET opening tip, and Saddiq Bey would likely start again if Collins remains out.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' John Collins: Questionable vs. Knicks
Collins (hip) is questionable for Wednesday's matchup against the Knicks. Collins sat out Monday's 144-138 loss to the Hornets due to left hip flexor soreness, which may also keep him sidelined for Atlanta's final game before the break. The newly acquired Saddiq Bey will presumably draw a second straight start if Collins remains shelved.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' John Collins: Won't play Monday
Collins (hip) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup against the Hornets, Sam Perley of the Hornets' official site reports. Collins has been downgraded from questionable to out due to left hip flexor soreness and will snap a streak of 27 straight appearances. In his absence, Jalen Johnson and AJ Griffin are candidates for increased roles, while Saddiq Bey (recently traded) will also be available to make his Hawks debut. Collins' next chance to suit up will come Wednesday against the Knicks, which is Atlanta's final contest before the All-Star break.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' John Collins: Iffy for Monday's contest
Collins is questionable for Monday's game in Charlotte due to left hip flexor soreness. Collins, who's scored in double figures in 13 of his last 15 appearances, is in danger of missing his first contest since Dec. 16. Bogdan Bogdanovic (hip) is also questionable and Trae Young (shoulder) is probable, so Atlanta could be without three key contributors versus the Hornets, though the trio's official availability likely won't be known until closer to Monday's 7 p.m. ET tip.... Hawks' John Collins: Fills out box score nicely in win
Collins finished with 17 points (6-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks across 31 minutes in Saturday's 125-106 win over the Spurs. After staying put in Atlanta in the aftermath of Thursday's trade deadline, Collins has responded with a pair of quality scoring outings. Unlike Thursday's win over Phoenix in which he supplemented his 16-point performance with little else in the box score, Collins checked off every category Saturday and was even perfect at the free-throw line. The 25-year-old big man still continues to endure his worst fantasy season since his rookie year, but he remains worthy of a back-end roster spot in both 10- and 12-team category and points leagues.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' John Collins: Solid scoring in win
Collins produced 16 points (6-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds and one steal across 31 minutes during Thursday's 116-107 win over Phoenix. Collins scored 16 points on 12 shots and went 4-for-4 from the line but added little else. Atlanta pulled down a total of 59 rebounds, but Collins could manage only two in 31-plus minutes on the floor. The 25-year-old's season averages remain serviceable (13.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game), but he still struggles with consistency in his starting role, and his ceiling seems to be capped, as he hasn't topped 20 points in a game since the beginning of January.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' John Collins: Scores empty 16 points in loss
Collins chipped in 16 points (7-13 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds and one steal across 34 minutes during Saturday's 120-113 loss to the Clippers. Collins scored 16 points in the loss, bringing his streak of double-digit scoring to eight consecutive games. While that seems nice on the surface, during that span he has scored no more than 19 points in any one game, adding very little in terms of defensive numbers. He is the 65th-ranked player this season but has fallen outside the top 90 over the past month. It would appear that any hopes of him being a top-50 player have gone by the wayside, with managers better off tempering expectations somewhat.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' John Collins: Delivers elite shooting night
Collins finished with 17 points (7-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt), nine rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block across 35 minutes in Friday's 139-124 win over the Knicks. Despite handling his lowest usage rate (12 percent) since late November, Collins still managed to turn in an above-average fantasy line in the Hawks' 15-point victory. The supremely efficient shooting was a major factor, and Collins seems to be gaining more and more confidence in firing away from distance. Before going 6-for-9 from three-point range over his past two games, Collins had averaged just 0.7 three-pointers on 21.9 percent shooting over his prior 10 outings.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' John Collins: Posts below-average night
Collins amassed 11 points (5-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds and one assist across 28 minutes before fouling out of Saturday's 114-103 win over the Raptors. Collins was efficient with his scoring chances by hitting 55.6 percent of his attempts from the field, but he was unable to hit a triple in three tries. He also finished below his season average in rebounds (7.9 boards through 35 regular-season appearances).... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' John Collins: Swats three shots in loss
Collins supplied 16 points (7-18 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and three blocks over 37 minutes during Friday's 130-114 loss to the Lakers. Collins missed all five of his three-point attempts but still tied for second on Atlanta with 16 points. He also tied for the team lead with eight rebounds, but his best work came on the defensive end, where he blocked three shots. Collins snapped a two-game double-double streak Friday, but he did extend his run of contests with multiple blocked shots to three.... See More ... See Less
