Bagley (concussion) is available for Friday's game against the Pacers. As expected, Bagley has been upgraded from probable to available and will suit up Friday following a two-game absence. Before the lefty forward suffered the injury, he averaged 17.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 32.3 minutes over his previous six appearances (all starts).... See More ... See Less

Pistons' Marvin Bagley: Likely to play Friday
Bagley (concussion) is probable for Friday's game versus the Pacers. Bagley is expected to play Friday after missing the previous two games with a concussion. He will likely replace Jalen Duren in the starting lineup if he's available.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Marvin Bagley: Remains sidelined Wednesday
Bagley (concussion) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Nets. Bagley is in the concussion protocol and will be unavailable for a second consecutive game. Eugene Omoruyi is a candidate to see increased run once again, while Bagley has just two more opportunities to return before the conclusion of the regular season.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Marvin Bagley: Ruled out Tuesday
Bagley has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Heat due to a concussion. Bagley exited Sunday's matchup against the Magic due to a neck issue, and he's entered the concussion protocol for the final week of the regular season. It's unclear when he'll be able to return, but Eugene Omoruyi and Isaiah Livers should see increased playing time in Bagley's absence.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Marvin Bagley: Exits with sore neck, likely done
Bagley exited Sunday's game against the Magic with a sore neck and is considered doubtful to return. Bagley took an inadvertent knee to the back of his head from teammate Jalen Duren, and it's unlikely that he'll return to Sunday's contest. Prior to exiting, Bagley played only nine minutes and posted two points (0-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and one rebound.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Marvin Bagley: Pours in season-high 31
Bagley closed with 31 points (12-19 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds, one assist, two blocks and three steals over 41 minutes during Tuesday's 129-107 loss to the Hawks. It's the best scoring effort of the season for the fifth-year big, topping the 21 points he supplied in each of the final two games in February. Bagley missed three games in March with an ankle injury, but when healthy, he's taken on a key role in the Pistons frontcourt, averaging 15.2 points, 8.4 boards, 1.5 assists and 1.0 blocks over his last 10 contests while shooting 53.8 percent from the floor.... Pistons' Marvin Bagley: Reaches 30 minutes in return
Bagley (ankle) supplied 14 points (6-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four assists, three rebounds and one block in 30 minutes during Sunday's 112-100 loss to the Heat. Detroit showed no hesitation about feeding Bagley meaningful minutes in his return from an ankle injury, which had sidelined him for the previous three contests. Even if fellow frontcourt player Jalen Duren (head) returns from the injury that limited him to nine minutes Sunday, he's more likely to threaten starting center James Wiseman's playing time than Bagley's in Tuesday's game in Atlanta. Bagley looks like he'll have a clear path to ample playing time at power forward for the foreseeable future while Isaiah Stewart (shoulder) is likely done for the season and while Bojan Bogdanovic (Achilles) and Isaiah Livers (hip) remain without definitive timelines to return to the court.... Pistons' Marvin Bagley: Starting Sunday
Bagley is starting Sunday's game against Miami, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports. Bagley missed the last three games due to an ankle injury and will have his minutes monitored Sunday, but he'll be back in the starting lineup while Eugene Omoruyi retreats to the bench. Over Bagley's last five appearances, he's averaged 11.4 points and 6.8 rebounds in 28.4 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Marvin Bagley: Will be monitored Sunday
Head coach Dwane Casey said Bagley (ankle) will have his minutes monitored during Sunday's game against Miami, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports. Bagley is set to suit up for the first time following a three-game absence, but it sounds like the Pistons will be cautious with the lefty big man, which may mean he'll operate off the bench. Across 15 games as a reserve, Bagley has averaged 10.7 points and 6.9 rebounds, which isn't too far off his averages as a starter -- 11.8 points and 5.5 rebounds in 18 games.... See More ... Pistons' Marvin Bagley: Not listed on injury report
Bagley (ankle) is not listed on the injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the Heat. Bagley is set to return following a three-game absence. It wouldn't be shocking if he moves straight into the starting lineup, given he started in his previous five appearances prior to suffering the injury. He's averaging 13.4 points and 9.1 rebounds across 26.6 minutes per game over his last eight contests (five starts).... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Marvin Bagley: Expected to miss next few games
Dwane Casey said Sunday that he expects Bagley to miss the Pistons' "next few games" with an ankle injury, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports. Bagley exited Saturday's 121-115 loss to the Pacers after rolling his ankle, and he now appears on track to miss both ends of Detroit's Monday/Tuesday back-to-back set versus the Pacers and Wizards, respectively. Given Detroit's place in the standings, it's fair to expect Bagley will miss additional time beyond the back-to-back set, though a more precise target date for his return may not arrive for a few more days. The Pistons are already without another option at power forward in href="https://www.rotowire.com/basketball/player.php?id=5137">Isaiah Stewart (hip) -- who may not play again this season -- and with Bagley sidelined, Eugene Omoruyi and Isaiah Livers could serve as Detroit's primary options at the position.... Pistons' Marvin Bagley: Hurts ankle, done early Saturday
Bagley was diagnosed with right ankle soreness won't return to Saturday's game against the Pacers. With the Pistons already short on bodies, Bagley's absence for the rest of the night will force head coach Dwane Casey to heavily rely on Isaiah Livers and Eugene Omoruyi to fill out minutes at power forward. Bagley finishes the contest with six points (3-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt), five rebounds and one assist in 22 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Marvin Bagley: Upgraded to available
Bagley (ankle) will play in Saturday's game against the Pacers. As expected, Bagley will suit up for Saturday's tilt after initially being listed as probable with right ankle soreness. Since entering the starting lineup four games ago, Bagley has averaged 12.8 points,7.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks across 30.0 minutes, and he should be expected to handle a similar workload Saturday.... Pistons' Marvin Bagley: Likely to play Saturday
Bagley is probable for Saturday's game versus the Pacers due to right ankle soreness. It is unclear when Bagley picked up his ankle injury, but it isn't expected to keep him out Saturday. The 23-year-old forward is averaging 12.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.3 blocks in 30.0 minutes in his last four games since being inserted in the starting lineup.... See More ... Pistons' Marvin Bagley: Starting alongside Wiseman
Bagley will start Saturday's game against the Cavaliers, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports. Saturday marks Bagley's first start since Dec. 7, and he's getting the nod alongside James Wiseman for a tough frontcourt matchup against Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley. Over the past three games, Bagley has averaged 16.7 points and 13.0 boards in 23.7 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Marvin Bagley: Double-double off bench Monday
Bagley totaled 21 points (10-16 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-3 FT), 12 rebounds and one assist over 24 minutes during Monday's 117-106 loss to the Hornets. That's now two double-doubles in two games since Bagley returned from a hand issue that had kept him sidelined since early January. Isaiah Livers (ankle) joined Jalen Duren (ankle) and Isaiah Stewart (hip) on the injured list Monday, and while none of those injuries are viewed as serious, Bagley could find himself in the starting lineup Wednesday against the Bulls.... Pistons' Marvin Bagley: Posts big double-double in return
Bagley (hand) generated 21 points (9-19 FG, 3-8 FT, 0-2 3Pt), 18 rebounds and one block across 28 minutes in Saturday's 95-91 loss to the Raptors. Making his return to action after a 20-game absence, Bagley came off the bench in his first appearance since Jan. 2 and proceeded to lead the Pistons in both points and rebounds. Despite his strong production in both categories, Bagley's overall fantasy line was still lacking in just about every other area, including in efficiency from both the field and free-throw line. Though Bagley would have some appeal in 12-team points leagues if he can produce double-doubles regularly, it's unclear if he'll receive this sort of playing time consistently. The Pistons were without top center Jalen Duren (ankle), resulting in Bagley and fill-in starter James Wiseman (20 minutes) splitting the playing time at center. Once Duren is healthy, Bagley or Wiseman could find himself as the odd man out, or head coach Dwane Casey could include all three centers in the rotation in an arrangement that would limit the fantasy upside of each player.... Pistons' Marvin Bagley: Good to go Saturday
Head coach Dwane Casey said Bagley (hand) is available for Saturday's game versus the Raptors, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports. Bagley, who's fully recovered from hand surgery, will return to the lineup for the first time since Jan. 2. Casey expects Bagley to replace Jalen Duren's minutes, meaning the 23-year-old forward could be inserted into the starting lineup or will at least spend more time with the first unit.... See More ... Pistons' Marvin Bagley: Likely to play against Toronto
Bagley (hand) is probable for Saturday's game versus the Raptors. Bagley is expected to return to the lineup after missing the previous 20 games recovering from right hand surgery. The 23-year-old big man may have a minutes restriction for his few contests back.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Marvin Bagley: Officially out
Bagley (hand) has been ruled out for Thursday's matchup against the Magic. As expected, Bagley has officially been ruled out after initially being listed as doubtful. The absence will mark his 20th straight missed game, but it appears he's getting closer to a return after going through most of Wednesday's practice. Bagley's next chance to suit up will come Saturday versus Toronto.... See More ... See Less
