Johnson (foot/rest) is out for Wednesday's game against the Jazz. Johnson's bothersome foot will be load managed Wednesday, marking the forward's second consecutive absence. He's missed seven of the past 13 games as the Spurs position for better lottery odds.... See More ... See Less

Spurs' Keldon Johnson: Inactive Sunday
Johnson (foot) is inactive Sunday against Boston, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports. Johnson was considered a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup, and he'll be unable to suit up due to his lingering foot issue. Devin Vassell will start for San Antonio on Sunday, while Johnson's next chance to play will be Wednesday against the Jazz.... See More ... See Less -
Spurs' Keldon Johnson: Questionable at Boston
Johnson (foot) is questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Celtics, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports. Johnson was excellent in his return from a two-game absence Friday against the Wizards, posting 30 points, 10 boards and four assists in 31 minutes. Still, it seems likely he'll land on the injury report more times than not for the remainder of the season, like many other Spurs rotation players.... See More ... See Less -
Spurs' Keldon Johnson: Drops 30 points in return
Johnson notched 30 points (11-17 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 5-9 FT), 10 rebounds and four assists across 31 minutes during Friday's 136-124 loss to the Wizards. After two straight games on the sidelines, Johnson returned from a neck strain and led all players in scoring for his 11th career game with 30 or more points. The Spurs have been dialing back most of their key players, so it's likely that we see Johnson continue to be held out of games sporadically.... See More ... See Less -
Spurs' Keldon Johnson: Cleared for Friday
Johnson (neck) is available for Friday's matchup at Washington, Ty Jager of FanSided.com reports. Johnson will return to the lineup following a two-game absence. San Antonio's injury report continues to be in flux and extensive, and Johnson has been a part of that. The forward hasn't appeared in four consecutive games since February. That said, he's played well lately, averaging 25.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.5 steals in his past four appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Spurs' Keldon Johnson: Deemed probable for Friday
Johnson (neck) is listed as probable for Friday's game versus the Wizards, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports. Johnson was held out of Wednesday's game versus the Bucks due to neck soreness, marking his second consecutive absence. However, it appears he should be back in the mix Friday, though the Spurs are seemingly continuing to rotate absences late in the season, and a number of players are questionable or out for Friday's game as well.... Spurs' Keldon Johnson: Won't play Wednesday
Johnson (neck) won't suit up for Wednesday's game versus the Bucks, Tom Osborn of the San Antonio Express-News reports. Johnson will miss his second consecutive contest while working his way back from some neck soreness, suggesting that it was more than just a rest day when he sat out Wednesday. His next opportunity to retake the floor surfaces Friday against the Wizards, but the Spurs will be running a shorthanded crew out Wednesday with Tre Jones (rest), Doug McDermott (hip), Romeo Langford (thigh) and Devonte' Graham (quad) all also sitting.... Spurs' Keldon Johnson: Questionable Wednesday
Johnson (neck) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Bucks, Ty Jager of Fansided's Air Alamo reports. Johnson missed Tuesday's game against the Pelicans due to a neck issue, and it's not yet clear whether he'll be able to suit up for the second half of the back-to-back set. If he's sidelined once again Wednesday, Devin Vassell and Keita Bates-Diop should see increased run.... See More ... See Less -
Spurs' Keldon Johnson: Officially out
Johnson (neck) is out for Tuesday's matchup against the Pelicans, Ty Jager of Fansided's Air Alamo reports. As expected, Johnson, who was left off the initial injury report, has been downgraded to out just moments after the team announced he was expected to miss Tuesday's matchup. The severity of Johnson's sore neck remains unclear, but it's certainly possible he will remain sidelined for the second half of San Antonio's back-to-back set Wednesday in Milwaukee as well.... Spurs' Keldon Johnson: Leads with season high in boards
Johnson recorded 29 points (13-21 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-5 FT), 12 rebounds, five assists and one steal across 33 minutes during Sunday's 126-118 win over Atlanta. Johnson posted a team-high rebound mark while setting a new season-high during Sunday's victory. Johnson, who also notched a team-high-tying scoring total, has finished with at least 25 points and 10 rebounds three times this season and for the first time since a 36-point, 11-rebound outing Jan. 11 against Brooklyn.... Spurs' Keldon Johnson: Puts up 21 in OT loss
Johnson produced 21 points (8-21 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds and three steals in 38 minutes during Friday's 126-120 overtime loss to the Grizzlies. Johnson has already missed four games this month, but he's been productive when able to take the floor. He's scored at least 20 points in his last three outings and eight of his last 10 overall. Johnson should continue to produce offensively, but he could face some slight pushback on the fantasy front if Devin Vassell gets back on track as he did Friday. Even if that's the case, Johnson still holds plenty of fantasy value on a Spurs club starving for production.... See More ... See Less -
Spurs' Keldon Johnson: Returns with 27-point outing
Johnson (foot) tallied 27 points (11-25 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-6 FT), eight rebounds and two assists in 36 minutes in Wednesday's 137-128 overtime loss to the Mavericks. Though Johnson was cleared to return from a two-game absence, the Spurs held out four other key rotation players due to rest or minor injuries for the second leg of the back-to-back set. Those absences gave Johnson free reign to put up shots at will, and while he came through with a stat line that was more than serviceable in points leagues, his awful percentages from the field and free-throw line -- and his lack of supporting statistics -- made his output far less valuable in category leagues. That's a familiar refrain for Johnson, who ranks inside the top 75 in points leagues but outside the top 150 in nine-category leagues on a per-game basis this season.... See More ... See Less -
Spurs' Keldon Johnson: Not on injury report
Johnson (foot) isn't on the injury report for Wednesday's game against the Mavericks, Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reports. Johnson missed the last two games due to a sore left foot but will return to the court for the second half of a back-to-back set Wednesday. Over his last five appearances, he's averaged 19.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 33.2 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Spurs' Keldon Johnson: Ruled out against Orlando
Johnson (foot) won't play in Tuesday's game versus the Magic, Jeff Garcia of KENS 5 San Antonio reports. Johnson will miss his second straight game Tuesday due to left foot soreness. Keita Bates-Diop and Doug McDermott should continue to see increased roles in his absence. Johnson's next chance to suit up is Wednesday's matchup with Dallas.... See More ... See Less -
Spurs' Keldon Johnson: Questionable Tuesday
Johnson (foot) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Magic, Ty Jager of PoundingTheRock.com reports. Johnson has missed three of the last five games due to a left foot issue, and it's not yet clear whether he'll be available Tuesday. If he sits out once again, Keita Bates-Diop and Doug McDermott could see increased run once again.... See More ... See Less -
Spurs' Keldon Johnson: Won't play Sunday
Johnson (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Thunder, independent NBA writer Matthew Tynan reports. Johnson and Jeremy Sochan (knee) have both been downgraded from questionable to out and will join Tre Jones (illness) on the sidelines. Keita Bates-Diop and Doug McDermott are candidates for increased roles with the Spurs' frontcourt depleted. Johnson's next chance to suit up will come Tuesday versus the Magic.... See More ... Spurs' Keldon Johnson: Questionable for Sunday
Johnson has left foot soreness and is questionable Sunday against the Thunder, according to Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com. With the Spurs mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, they may err on the side of caution more often than not. With Johnson and Jeremy Sochan (knee) both questionable, we could see guys like Doug McDermott and Keita Bates-Diop get extended run.... See More ... See Less -
Spurs' Keldon Johnson: Posts strong line
Johnson closed Friday's 128-120 win over the Nuggets with 23 points (8-17 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, six assists and two steals across 36 minutes. Johnson produced one of his best games of the season in San Antonio's second win in their past four games. With the Spurs eliminated from the playoffs, it will be interesting to see how the Spurs handle the workloads of their key players such as Johnson down the stretch. After Sunday's game against the Thunder, the Spurs will have back-to-back weeks with four games on the schedule.... See More ... See Less -
Spurs' Keldon Johnson: Struggles from field Sunday
Johnson produced eight points (3-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, five assists and one block in 27 minutes during Sunday's 142-110 loss to the Rockets. Johnson had a woeful performance from the field and was the only starter that didn't score in double digits in this 32-point loss. That said, this was probably nothing more than an off-night for the star forward, as Johnson has scored at least 20 points in seven of his last nine appearances. He's averaging 20.3 points per game since the start of February (11 appearances).... See More ... See Less -
Spurs' Keldon Johnson: Will play Sunday
Johnson (foot) is not listed in the injury report for Sunday's game against the Rockets and is expected to start, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports. As expected, Johnson will return Sunday and should jump straight into the starting lineup, given his role as San Antonio's go-to offensive player. He's scored at least 20 points in seven of his last eight appearances while averaging 22.4 points per game in that span.... See More ... See Less

Jeff McDonald@JMcDonald_SAEN8D agoThe Spurs are a 19-win team that will be without four starters tonight (Johnson, Vassell, Sochan and Collins). If New Orleans aims to make some noise in the play-in race, this would be a good one for the Pelicans to get.
