Samanic was productive in his short time with the Jazz, who saw most of their main rotation players sitting to end the season. The third-year forward logged four consecutive starts to close out the campaign, averaging 13.0 points per game, including a career-high 23 points in a win over Denver on April 8. Due to his solid play, Samanic was able to secure a contract extension with the Jazz through the 2023-24 season.

Jazz's Luka Samanic: Signs extension with Jazz
Samanic signed a contract extension with the Jazz on Thursday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Following the end to a productive stint with the Jazz, Samanic agreed to terms to stay with the Jazz through the 2023-24 season. In his four games with the Jazz he's averaged 7.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 17.3 minutes. The third-year forward will work towards securing a role in the rotation once again for next season.

Samanic just wrapped up the G League regular season with the Maine Celtics, where he averaged 20.6 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.
