  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Scores 19 in win over Miami

Maxey accumulated 19 points (6-16 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT), three rebounds and six assists across 44 minutes during Wednesday's 105-104 Play-In Game victory over the Heat. Maxey had a rough night from three-point range, but he still salvaged his stat line by sniffing the 20-point mark and dishing out six assists. Maxey is expected to play a prominent role on offense in the first-round matchup against the Knicks, and it's worth noting he averaged 26.3 points per game in three games against New York during the regular season.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Drains five threes vs. Orlando

Maxey logged 28 points (10-19 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, three assists and one block over 40 minutes during Friday's 125-113 victory over the Magic. Maxey returned to the lineup Friday after missing Tuesday's game against the Pistons due to left hip tightness. The injury didn't seem to slow Maxey down, as he hit five threes for the 15th time this season. The 76ers have been bolstered by the return of reigning MVP Joel Embiid, and a win Sunday against the Nets could lift the team into the top six in the Eastern Conference.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Won't play Tuesday

Maxey (hip) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Pistons, Kyle Neubeck of AllPHLY.com reports. Maxey dropped 52 points against the Spurs during a double-overtime win Sunday, but he continues to battle left hip tightness. After Tuesday's matchup, the 76ers have only two games remaining during the regular season -- Friday versus Orlando and Sunday against Brooklyn. Kyle Lowry (knee) remains out, so Cameron Payne and Buddy Hield are candidates for elevated roles against Detroit.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Deemed questionable for Tuesday

Maxey (hip) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Pistons. Although Maxey continues to deal with left hip tightness, he's coming off a dominant performance in which he tallied 52 points, seven assists, five rebounds and two steals in 54 minutes during a double-overtime win over the Spurs on Sunday. If he's cleared to play Tuesday, his workload will likely depend on whether Joel Embiid (knee), Tobias Harris (knee), Kyle Lowry (knee) and De'Anthony Melton (back) are available.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Erupts for career-high 52 points

Maxey closed with 52 points (19-41 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 12-12 FT), seven assists, five rebounds and two steals over 54 minutes during Sunday's 133-126 double-overtime victory over San Antonio. The fourth-year guard took advantage of the extra court time to set a new career scoring high while dropping at least 50 points for the third time this season -- something only Wilt Chamberlain, Joel Embiid and Allen Iverson have also done in 76ers history. Maxey has scored 25-plus points in eight of his last 12 games, and he's averaged 26.2 points, 6.5 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 2.8 threes and 1.0 steals over that stretch.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Iffy for Sunday

Maxey (hip) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Spurs. Maxey finished Saturday's blowout win over Memphis with just seven points (2-6 FG), five assists and a rebound after exploding for 37 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds during Thursday's win over Miami, which marked the point guard's return from a two-game absence due a left hip injury. Philadelphia has already ruled Joel Embiid (rest) and Kyle Lowry (rest) out for Sunday, so if Maxey joins them on the sidelines, the 76ers will need multiple depth pieces to step up and play quality minutes versus San Antonio.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Will play against Memphis

Maxey (hip) is available and will play in Saturday's game against the Grizzlies, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Similar to Joel Embiid, Maxey went through his regular shootaround routine and has been deemed available to play in a favorable matchup against the Grizzlies. Look for Maxey to handle his regular workload against Memphis in what looks like a must-win game for the 76ers.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Questionable for Saturday

Maxey is questionable for Saturday's game against Memphis due to left hip tightness. Maxey returned from a two-game absence Thursday against Miami and didn't appear to have limitations, as he tallied 37 points, 11 assists, nine rebounds, a steal and a block in 41 minutes. However, he continues to deal with a hip issue, and it's unclear whether he'll be able to suit up Saturday.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Nears triple-double in return

Maxey notched 37 points (15-26 FG, 5-14 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 assists, nine rebounds, one steal and one block over 41 minutes in Thursday's 109-105 win over Miami. Maxey returned Thursday after missing the previous game with a hip injury, leading all players in the contest in scoring and assists to go along with a team-best mark from three and ending one rebound shy of a triple-double in an all-around showing. Maxey's return provides a big lift to a 76ers team that is getting back to full strength health-wise. Maxey tied a season-high mark in assists in his return, notching his sixth game with 35 or more points. He has posted at least 30 points and 10 assists in three games this year, adding eight or more rebounds in two of those three outings.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Cleared to play Thursday

Maxey (hip) will play Thursday against the Heat, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. No surprise here, as Maxey was upgraded to probable prior to this update. Maxey has missed the past three games for the 76ers, but he doesn't have any reported restrictions ahead of tipoff.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Likely to play Thursday

Maxey (hip) is likely to play against the Heat on Thursday, head coach Nick Nurse told Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com. Maxey missed Tuesday's win over the Thunder with left hip soreness for his third straight absence, but he's trending toward playing Thursday. Nurse revealed Maxey's status will be clearer after warmups, as the coaching staff wants the star guard to get through his pregame routine before he's officially cleared, so he's essentially going to be a game-time decision. All things considered, though, it seems the 76ers will have both Maxey and Joel Embiid (knee) available together for the first time since a Jan. 25 loss to the Pacers.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Won't play against Thunder

Maxey (hip) is out for Tuesday's game versus Oklahoma City, Brandon Rahbar of DailyThunder.com reports. Maxey will miss his second straight contest Tuesday after being downgraded from questionable to out with left hip soreness. Cameron Payne will likely draw another start in his absence. Maxey's next chance to suit up is Thursday's matchup with Miami.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Questionable for Tuesday

Maxey (hip) is questionable for Tuesday's game against Oklahoma City. Maxey missed Sunday's game against the Raptors due to left hip tightness, and it's not yet clear whether he'll be able to return to action Tuesday. If he's unavailable once again, Cameron Payne will likely continue to see increased playing time.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Battles stifling defense in loss

Maxey chipped in 29 points (10-16 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 4-6 FT), three rebounds and two assists over 34 minutes during Monday's 108-96 loss to the Kings. Maxey's stat line is impressive considering Sacramento's defensive tactics. The Kings smothered Maxey on the defensive end, and while they failed to contain his offensive output, the point guard's inability to effectively direct the offense resulted in a pitiful night from the rest of the first unit. The other starters totaled just 20 points amid Maxey's second-worst assist total of the season.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Goes for 24 points Monday

Maxey chipped in 24 points (9-17 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), one rebound, six assists, one block and one steal over 44 minutes during Sunday's 121-107 victory over the Clippers. Maxey got off to a slow start in this game, but he scored most of his points in the second half, providing a massive lift for the Sixers right when the Clippers were sniffing a potential comeback. Maxey has found life more challenging without Joel Embiid (knee) around as he commands far more attention from opposing defenses, but more often than not, he finds a way to get things done. Maxey has scored 24 or more points in five of his last six appearances.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Drops game-high 27 on Friday

Maxey finished Friday's 101-94 loss to the Lakers with 27 points (10-26 FG, 1-9 3Pt, 6-6 FT), two rebounds, three assists and three steals in 39 minutes. The fourth-year guard bounced back from a poor shooting effort in Phoenix to lead all scorers on the night in Los Angeles, but it wasn't enough to get the Sixers a win. Over six games since returning from a concussion, Maxey has averaged 23.3 points, 5.3 assists, 3.2 boards, 2.5 threes and 0.8 steals.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Struggles badly against PHX

Maxey notched six points (3-13 FG, 0-4 3Pt), seven assists and one steal in 29 minutes during Wednesday's 115-102 loss to Phoenix. Maxey had one of his worst performances of the season against one of the top teams in the Western Conference, and he finished with more than double the number of shot attempts compared to points scored. Maxey is too talented to struggle at this rate for a long stretch, and while he's had his fair share of subpar outings, he should be able to bounce back against the Lakers on Friday.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Comes close to triple-double

Maxey registered 30 points (11-24 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 5-5 FT), eight rebounds, 10 assists, one block and one steal over 41 minutes during Monday's 98-91 victory over Miami. Maxey didn't have his best shooting performance and had a rough time from beyond the arc, but he still reached the 30-point plateau while ending just two boards away from a triple-double. With Joel Embiid (knee) and Tobias Harris (ankle) sidelined, Maxey is the undisputed go-to player on offense for the 76ers. His usage rate will reflect that, and he's averaging 27.3 points per game since the beginning of March. He's also scored exactly 30 points in three straight appearances.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Leads charge with 30 points

Maxey chipped in a game-high 30 points (8-20 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 11-12 FT), three rebounds and four assists over 40 minutes during Saturday's 109-98 victory over the Hornets. The fourth-year guard hit 30 points for the second straight game despite having his nose bloodied on a flagrant foul that got Brandon Miller ejected in the second quarter. Maxey missed four games in March due to a concussion, but the injury didn't slow him down. He's scored at least 30 points in five of nine games since the All-Star break, averaging 27.7 points, 4.7 assists, 4.0 boards, 3.3 threes and 1.0 steals over that stretch.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Remains in concussion protocol

Maxey (concussion) is still in concussion protocol Saturday, Austin Krell of USA Today reports. Maxey has missed Philadelphia's last three contests due to a concussion, but the organization was hoping that the medical staff would clear the star guard from protocol. Maxey's status for Sunday's matchup with the Knicks is now in doubt.
