The Clippers signed Primo to a two-year, $3.96 million deal Thursday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.. The contract is fully guaranteed for the rest of this season and includes $1 million guaranteed for 2024-25. Primo caught on with the Clippers on a two-way deal in September and has been converted to a standard NBA deal less than two months later. The 20-year-old guard has spent the beginning of the 2023-24 season with the Ontario Clippers of the G League and has averaged 17.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.7 steals in 28.9 minutes per contest across his first three appearances. Primo is planning to sign a two-way contract with the Clippers on Friday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Primo, the 2021 No. 12 overall pick, was waived by the Spurs last October after multiple allegations emerged of the 19-year-old exposing himself to women. He remained a free agent for the remainder of the 2022-23 campaign and was issued a four-game suspension by the NBA this offseason for conduct detrimental to the league. After being waived, Primo said he suffered from "previous trauma" and took time to focus on his mental health. Ohm Youngmisuk@NotoriousOHM2D agoPaul George knows the team will adjust and adapt to having Kawhi Leonard back after the star missed over three weeks. Knowing that they have their best player back and understanding he will get his rhythm back gives the Clippers even more confidence moving forward in series.
