Williams filled up the stat sheet Wednesday night in 28 minutes on the floor. He notched his third straight double-double and continued his streak of at least one block per game (now at 10). Since the trade that sent away Mason Plumlee, the rookie has carved out a considerable role with his team and should continue to produce sufficient center numbers.

A thin Detroit frontcourt got thinner when Isaiah Livers (ankle) left the game in the first half, and Williams took advantage. The rookie center has blossomed since moving into the starting lineup, averaging 12.1 points, 9.9 boards and 1.7 blocks while shooting 64.9 percent from the floor over the last seven games.
