  • Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Still out Tuesday

Johnson (hamstring) is out for Tuesday's game against the Cavaliers, Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Johnson hasn't played since March 13 due to a left hamstring strain. His next chance to suit up will come Friday in Brooklyn.

  • Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Out at least another week

Johnson will be re-evaluated in a week after he underwent an MRI on Monday and was diagnosed with a mild hamstring and groin strain, Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Johnson has missed the last two games due to injury and should be out for at least four more matchups after receiving his updated diagnosis Monday. AJ Griffin should continue to see increased run in Johnson's absence.

  • Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Officially out

Johnson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Spurs, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. As expected, Johnson will miss a second straight game due to left hamstring soreness. In his absence, AJ Griffin could see a few more minutes off the bench.

  • Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Unlikely to play Sunday

Johnson (hamstring) is unlikely to play Sunday against the Spurs, Tom Osborn of the San Antonio Express-News reports. Johnson is officially listed as questionable, but it appears he'll miss a second straight game due to left hamstring soreness. In his expected absence, Saddiq Bey and AJ Griffin are candidates for slightly increased roles.

  • Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Questionable Sunday

Johnson (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Spurs, Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Johnson sat out Friday's win over the Warriors but could return following the one-game absence. Since the All-Star break, he's averaged 4.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 14.9 minutes.

  • Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Will sit out Friday

Johnson (hamstring) won't suit up for Friday's game versus the Warriors. Johnson took part in Friday's shootaround, but it appears his hamstring didn't fare well enough for him to suit up for the evening contest. Instead, he'll turn toward Sunday's matchup in San Antonio for his next opportunity to take the floor. Saddiq Bey and AJ Griffin are among the candidates to take on some of Johnson's bench minutes.

  • Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Present for shootaround

Johnson (hamstring) participated in Friday's shootaround, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports. Johnson is probable for Friday's matchup against Golden State, so it isn't very surprising to see him at the team's morning shootaround. As long as he feels good afterward, he'll likely be able to suit up for Friday's game.

  • Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Probable Friday

Johnson is probable for Friday's game against the Warriors due to left hamstring tightness, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Johnson has had a limited role off the bench recently, averaging 4.8 points and 4.6 rebounds in 13.8 minutes per game over his last five appearances. Despite his hamstring issue, it appears likely that he'll be able to suit up against Golden State.

  • Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Scores in double figures

Johnson finished with 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt), four rebounds, one assist and one steal across 19 minutes during Wednesday's 122-120 win over the Wizards. The sophomore forward's workload has fluctuated recently, and his role in the offense is relatively minimal. However, Johnson popped for 10 points in 19 minutes Wednesday -- his first time reaching double-digit points since Feb. 4. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect much out of Johnson unless John Collins or Saddiq Bey suffer injuries.

  • Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Crashes boards Wednesday

Johnson registered six points (2-4 FG, 2-3 3Pt), 11 rebounds and one assist across 16 minutes during Wednesday's 132-100 victory over Phoenix. Johnson had played double-digit minutes just twice over his past six games coming into Wednesday, but he saw a little extra opportunity with the Hawks cruising to a blowout win. The second-year forward made the most of his playing time, corralling a career-high 11 rebounds -- all on the defensive end -- in just 16 minutes. Johnson's effort on the boards Wednesday was certainly impressive, but he hasn't played 20 minutes in a game since Dec. 30, so he remains a non-factor in fantasy.

  • Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Offers very little in loss

Johnson finished with three points (1-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-4 FT) and six rebounds in 15 minutes during Monday's 111-100 loss to Chicago. Johnson saw at least 15 minutes for the first time in over a week, but he ended with a disappointing performance. While he has shown flashes this season, Johnson has scored in double-digits only six times and currently sits well outside the top 150 in standard formats. His long-term prospects remain intriguing, but he should not be on anyone's fantasy radar for now.

  • Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Pours in nine points during rally

Johnson notched 13 points (5-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, one block and two steals across 15 minutes during Sunday's 112-108 win over the Clippers. Most of Johnson's 13 points came during Atlanta's late rally to get the lead back. Johnson was almost flawless in only 15 minutes of playing time, nailing all but one of his shot attempts. The return of De'Andre Hunter will continue to affect Johnson's playing time, but he will play a key role in the second unit moving forward.

  • Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Good to go Wednesday

Johnson (foot) will be available for Wednesday's game versus the Nets, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Johnson should resume his duties as a significant frontcourt contributor for the Hawks off the bench. With Clint Capela (calf) out again, Johnson could see additional run again Wednesday.

  • Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Iffy for Wednesday

Johnson is questionable for Wednesday's matchup against Brooklyn with left foot soreness, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Johnson notched eight points, nine rebounds and five assists in 21 minutes during Tuesday's loss to Indiana, but he appears to have suffered a foot injury as well. He's one of four Hawks players listed as questionable, so it's currently unclear what Atlanta's rotation will look like against Brooklyn.

  • Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Stuffs stat sheet off bench

Johnson notched eight points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-8 FT), nine rebounds, five assists and one steal over 21 minutes during Tuesday's 129-114 loss to Indiana. Johnson scored most of his points from the charity stripe, and while he's not used to playing a significant role off the bench, this was a strong outing given he put up at least five tallies in three different categories. The second-year forward should continue playing a minor role off the bench, so it's hard to trust him in most fantasy formats going forward.

  • Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Low minutes again

Johnson produced two points (1-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one rebound across three minutes during Friday's 130-105 win over the Pistons. Johnson seems to be almost entirely out of the rotation at this point with John Collins returning to the lineup recently following an ankle injury. His three minutes of playing time Friday night marked a new season-low total for the young backup.

  • Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Coming off bench

Johnson will come off the bench Friday against the Hornets, Sam Perley of the Hornets' official site reports. Johnson has started six of the past seven games, but coach Nate McMillan will bring him and AJ Griffin off the bench Friday, while starting Trent Forrest and Bogdan Bogdanovic. It's possible Johnson's reserve role comes with reduced minutes.

  • Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Career-high four rejections in loss

Johnson amassed nine points (4-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt), one assist and four blocks in 19 minutes during Wednesday's 135-124 loss to the Magic. The second-year forward hadn't had more than two rejections in any game in his career, but with Clint Capela (calf) checking out of Wednesday's contest early, Johnson took on rim protection duties for the Hawks. The 20-year-old is averaging 7.0 points, 6.0 boards, 2.1 assists and 0.9 blocks in 24.6 minutes a night over seven December games, primarily as the starting power forward while John Collins (ankle) is sidelined. The added responsibility may be spurring the development of the 20th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.

  • Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Posts 14 points in loss

Johnson registered 14 points (4-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-5 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and one steal across 29 minutes during Monday's 128-103 loss to the Grizzlies. Johnson did most of his damage in the first half, shooting 3-for-6 from the field and 2-for-4 from downtown while securing five boards, three assists and one steal. However, he's reached double figures in only three of 23 contests so far this season, so this type of production can't be counted on by fantasy managers. Johnson's minutes should take a big hit once John Collins (ankle) and Clint Capela (Achilles) return.

  • Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Moves back to bench Sunday

Johnson finished Sunday's 123-122 overtime win over the Bulls with one point (0-2 FG, 1-2 FT), four rebounds and one assist in 15 minutes. With De'Andre Hunter (hip) returning to action Sunday, Johnson's four-game run in the starting five came to an end. He wasn't especially productive over that stretch, averaging 6.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 0.5 blocks in 27.3 minutes while shooting 40.7 percent from the field. Johnson saw a steep drop in playing time with the move to the bench, eliminating any short-term value he may have had in 12- or 14-team category leagues.
