Ivey got off to a hot start with 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting in the first half. However, the point guard would add just four more points after the break, along with four assists, one rebound and a steal as the Pistons suffered their fourth straight road loss. He's now scored at least 17 points in three straight contests and has shot above 50 percent in three of his last four.
Ivey finished Sunday's 119-118 loss to the Raptors with 18 points (6-11 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven assists and two rebounds in 27 minutes.
Despite playing 17 fewer minutes than he did two days earlier in a double-overtime win over the Spurs, Ivey came through with a better all-around fantasy performance due to largely to the fact that he went from 3-for-15 shooting from the field to 6-for-11. Ivey's 41.8/72.8/33.5 percent shooting splits for the season suggest that he can't be counted on to produce his offense as efficiently as he did Sunday, but it's at least encouraging to see that the rookie has been able to continue producing assists since moving to an off-ball role following Killian Hayes' re-entry into the starting group. In the three games since Hayes moved back to the top unit, Ivey has averaged 5.3 assists.
Ivey registered 17 points (3-15 FG, 0-7 3Pt, 11-12 FT), eight rebounds, eight assists and one steal in 44 minutes during Friday's 138-131 double-overtime victory over the Spurs.
Ivey cobbled together a well-rounded performance Friday, although his efficiency remains an issue. Despite a consistent role, he is currently shooting just 41.6 percent for the season, keeping him well outside the top 200 in nine-category formats. While he is a viable asset in standard eight-category formats, managers need to be aware of his flaws, given that they could significantly impact your team's overall production.
