  • Kings' Keegan Murray: Posts 41 points in final SL game

Murray logged 41 points (11-20 FG, 6-11 3PT, 13-15 FT), five rebounds, one assist, one steal and four blocks in 31 minutes of Wednesday's 95-83 Summer League win over Miami.

Murray once again was the best player on the floor, following up a 29-point outing in Sacramento's Summer League opener with a 41-point outburst. After two outstanding showings in the California Classic, Murray's Summer League action will come to a close, as he won't play in Las Vegas, per Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee. After showing off an improved ability to create his own shots off the dribble, Murray could be in line for a sophomore leap in 2023-24 as the Kings' expected starting power forward.

  • Kings' Keegan Murray: Dominates in Summer League opener

Murray posted 29 points (8-17 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 10-11 FT), one rebound and two steals in 31 minutes during Monday's 100-94 Summer League win over Golden State.

Just a few months ago, Murray was playing major minutes in Sacramento's playoff series against Golden State, so it's not surprising to see him dominate the lesser competition during Summer League. The 2022 lottery pick started 78 of his 80 regular-season appearances as a rookie last year and averaged 12.2 points (45/41/76 shooting splits), 4.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.3 steals-plus-blocks in 29.8 minutes per game. He struggled to make an impact in his first three postseason games, but he averaged 14.5 points and 8.0 rebounds in 35.3 minutes per game over the final four matchups. Murray figures to be a key piece for Sacramento for years to come, but he may be pushed for playing time by reigning EuroLeague MVP Sasha Vezenkov, who signed a three-year deal with the Kings this offseason.

  • Kings' Keegan Murray: Double-doubles in win

Murray registered 15 points (5-17 FG, 4-13 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists and one block across 45 minutes during Friday's 118-99 victory over the Warriors in Game 6 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.

Murray didn't have a good shooting performance and ended with more field goal attempts (17) than points scored (15), but the rookie still salvaged his fantasy line by posting a double-double, his first of the series. He has also scored in double figures in three straight outings.

  • Kings' Keegan Murray: Finally finds form

Murray ended with 23 points (9-13 FG, 5-7 3Pt), seven rebounds and one assist over 33 minutes during Sunday's 126-125 loss to the Warriors in Game 4 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.

Murray had his best game of the playoffs, dropping in 23 points including 5-of-7 from the perimeter. Sadly, he was unable to round out his evening with any peripheral production of note, something that's been an ongoing issue for the rookie. With the series now tied at 2-2, the Kings will return home for a critical Game 5.

  • Kings' Keegan Murray: Struggles continue Thursday

Murray posted six points (2-7 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, one block and one steal across 22 minutes during Thursday's 114-97 loss to the Warriors in Game 3 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.

Murray continues to play poorly for the Kings, ending with just six points in 22 minutes. After an encouraging end to the regular season, the rookie has been a no-show across all three playoff appearances. Despite leading the series 2-1, the Kings would love to see Murray turn things around, providing them with a viable offensive option as opposed to a dud.
